Chapter 18

The two of you made it to your apartment after a quiet walk. He set you down on your couch and sat next to you. Nothing was said for a few minutes since you two were still trying to process what happened. You eventually spoke up and asked what was on your mind.

"Why'd you go?" A tear rolled down your cheek

"Because... I needed to clear my head. I was so guilty after what happened to you and everything you went through because of me. You were stressed and hurt because of me and my recklessness. I realized how much I love you and how weak you make me sometimes. I was being an ass and trying to detach because I thought it would be for the best. I didn't want put you in danger and lose you for good. I want to protect you and I will with my life. But I'm scared that one day, I won't be there to protect you and you might die. I didn't want to risk that. What would do if you were gone? I wouldn't be able to make it. I... want you. I need you. I love you. So much. So much I don't know how to put it into words." He spilled his heart out to you and you cuddled up to him before he could say anything else. You wrapped your arms around his torso again.

"Don't leave me. Ever again. I need you. You're my monster and I love you. I'm like a baby or cub, whatever you want to call me, I'll die without you by my side and here to protect me. So stay with me. Please Garou." You whispered, still crying

"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." Garou pulled you on top of him and held you close. He rubbed your back in an attempt to calm you down while you cried into his chest. It wasn't a sad cry, more a relieved and overjoyed cry. You fell asleep in his arms, feeling more loved than you ever have.

The next day, you two woke up in the same position. After greeting each other and making a few jokes, you two took showers and freshened up. You met with each other in the kitchen and sat at the table, not ready to eat or cook just yet.

"So we're a thing now?" He asked with his head resting on his hand. Garou looked at you lovingly.

"Yes Garou, we're officially a couple now." You giggled

"Let's have kids."

"Woah, slow down there wolf boy. Let's wait until marriage or at least a few months, maybe a year." You stood up and took a few steps toward him. He wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your stomach.

"Alright fine. But we're having at least two. Gimme a kiss." He smirked

"Yeah whatever." You leaned down, expecting a quick peck. But no, Garou had other plans. It was a passionate kiss, tongue and all, that made you lose air quickly. He bit your lip before slowly pulling away. Your face was crimson and you flusterdly looked away from Garou.

"This is gonna be fun." He laughed and stood up to hug you. Garou kissed your cheek and you pouted, still looking away from him. He caught you off guard again by giving you a hickey on your neck. You lightly punched his chest and tried to get out of his grip. He laughed again and held you tighter.

"You're gonna make me late." You tried to get out of his arms again.

"Good. Now they'll know you're mine." He whispered seductively in your ear.

"Garou stop~" you whined and pouted. He eventually let you go and walked you to work. At the the end of the day, he picked you up and walked you home. You and Garou actually got married a few years later and had two kids, a girl in a boy. Your daughter was just like you but with more of his features and your son was just like him but with more of your features. Garou quit hero hunting as much and had no problem with staying with the kids and spending time with you all. He was surprisingly a good father even though he was still a bit reckless at times. You and your loving family events moved into a nice house and continued to love your best lives. Needless to say, Garou was your monster and nobody could change that.
