Nhinx
My eyes flutter open, the heat of the ray through the window woke me up.
It's no use, I can't sleep anymore.
I sit up and stretch my arms. Mhm, that felt nice. I stable myself first before I stand and walk around the room.
The bed gives me comfort, but not like the one I used to have. I have massive windows to adore the view of the-hmn, spotless windows...
I swirled towards the door when I heard a knock.
I rush to the door and unlocked it.
"Yes?" I peeked out to see Trevor standing on the other side carrying a freshly laundered clothes.
"Good, you're already awake. Here, get ready cause we need to go." He extends his arms motioning me to get the clothes, and I did.
"What time?" I asked him while checking out the clothes he gave me. How did he get this?
"Preferably now. Go and change-Oh your shoes are inside your room." He pushed me inside and close the door before he left.
After I get ready, I check myself out in front of the mirror and wondered...How did he know my size?
The long-sleeved dress is simply decorated with florals and the right above my knees, it's flowy alright.
Hmn...the sleeves are too long. I folded the sleeves until it reached just below my elbows and buttoned it to place.
He gave me a pair of high cut sneakers...I guess he picked it, not the dress.
"Now I'm ready to go." I said as I eyed myself up and down.
I gave my room one last glance before I go down.
I found him wearing a whistling in the kitchen.
"You're...quite independent..." I call out, he flinched and looked at me wide-eyed.
"Don't do that again! Yes, I am, when you grow up without parents and ever-busy grandpa, you would." He flipped the pancake to the plate beside him and handed it to me.
"Thank you." I grab it and sit down in front of the counter.
"Maple, honey, chocolate, or custard?" He asks.
"Chocolate," I replied.
He flips one last pancake and put it beside me then walk away.
"Aren't you going to eat?" I asked.
"Who said I won't? I'll just get the syrups... Ol'classic maple and...aha! Chocolate." He reached the syrups from the cabinets and hand me the one I requested.
We eat silently. After getting done, we immediately set thigs and left
Now, we headed towards the-
"Where are we going again?" I asked.
"Granpa's. You'll be a student in Phoenix. Or...maybe more than that." He shrugs at the last sentence.
Lack of topic, our journey is quiet as a bunny.
Trevor knocks and opens the door. Nicole is standing in the middle of the room arguing with a redhead.
She noticed us and hastily rush and gave me a hug.
"Hey, nutcracker!" The redhead shouted. "We're not done yet!"
Nicole ignored his rant and gave me a worried look. "Are you okay? Did these people treat you badly?"
