"Hunter," I called him for the fifth time, obviously trying to get his ay.ttention.
He keeps pacing back and forth after the test starts. Thankfully, we have our vacant time to do this thing.
He stopped and start tapping his shoes. "Will you just–" My word was cut short when he suddenly looked at me.
"What if she panicked and failed the test?" He wondered worriedly. I was about to open my mouth again when he quickly asked. "Or maybe the teacher is getting unfair and rigged?"
I rolled my eyes and cross my arms, steadying myself as I leaned to a wall. "That wouldn't ha–"
"What if she fails?! I'm a horrible teacher Carter! Horrible!" I looked at him in disbelief. Is he serious?
"Hunter!" I called him irritably. He jolted and looked at me, flushed with embarrassment. "Sorry, Test jitters." He sighed.
"A jitter that isn't for you. Do you expect her to get a perfect score?" I asked.
"No, I just want her to pass." He replied.
"Don't count dragon eggs right before they crack," I said. He nodded. "So stop acting like a drama queen and relax."
He looked at me curiously. "Didn't you react the same with Madeline?" I felt heat rushed o my face. "That's the past!"
He shrugs and went back to pacing back and forth. We both hoped she passed.
