Frost
"Fascinating..." I mumbled as I sit comfortably at one of the solo couches at the library while balancing a laptop on my thighs. "Humans can communicate with animals by just living with them!"
The muscled monkey-man hit his chest a couple of times before doing his signature yell. Huh, even he got a pretty girl, don't blame him. Sometimes, people who aren't civilized and uneducated are rather morale compared to an educated civilized person.
"Uh, Frost? Hello?" I jolted when somebody tapped my shoulder. I closed the laptop with haste and gave an irritated look at the person who dares to disturb my sacred leisure. Nhinx is standing in front of me.
"Oh, it's you," I said nonchalantly. I opened my laptop again, found that the buff monkey-man is stripping to save his gorilla family. Crap did I miss a good part?! I immediately turn the time stamp backward until I'm satisfied, then pause it. "Yes?"
"Sorry, did I disturb you?" She asked. "Obviously," I said. She flinched at my tone. I mentally slap my forehead. "I didn't mean to be rude. Can I help you?"
"Uhm, I was wondering if you see Nicole anywhere?" She asked. Now that she asked it. Mm
She inclined her head. "Clover?" I nodded. "Hunter's cousin. Senior." She made an o shape with her mouth. "Right! Hunter told me about his cousins when we're reviewing!" I'm not asking, but cool, the more you know.
"Isn't he a trickster? I mean, he's the older one right?" She asked. I was about to open my mouth when I felt somebody seat on the other solo couch beside me. "He's not that trickster-trickster."
Ice gave us a smile and a wave of hello. He's carrying his books for the next subject after this break. Though the break just started. Nhinc gave him a look which tells him that she's nowhere near believing it. "As far as I know, it's not wrong as long as nobody is harmed."
"How are they cousins?" She asked. I looked at her in disbelief. "His grandmother and Hunter's grandfather do it and made Clover's father and Hunter's father," I explained elaborately. She gave me a look and blurted 'What the fuck?' Ice gave me a whack on my head.
"Hey! I might go dumb if you do that!" I warned. He raised his eyebrow. "Yeah? Who said that?" I crossed my arms. "You can ask Humans about it." He just chuckled.
"Don't mind my brother, she's at the auditorium." Ice pointed west. Nhinx mumbled thanks before leaving. Her ears are red. "Told her about our transaction," I called before she could exit. Ice shook his head at me. "Aren't we too young to know those kinds of things?"
I shrug. "Sooner or later we will know. Now, let me watch in peace. I can hear the movie pleading me to watch it."
My twin just grinned at me and proceeds to read in advance. "Speaking about Clover, he's back?" I focused on the movie.
"Yeah, so much for going to Arcana," I said.
"If he's here, where is his brother?" He asked again. I propped my elbow and inclined my head. "No idea. Hunter surely knows."
"You tell me. He always knows everything. Hunter Shizen, student of the year and next year! Oh, how about as long as he's studying here." Ice shook his head at my remark. " I get it. he's just selfless."
I groaned. "I just don't see him doing things for himself! He always does things for others! He has a life too! Everybody keeps on depending on him. If he isn't too nice. He needs to be a kid like us, you know?" I ranted out exasperatedly.
"You know what happened alright?" Ice sigh. "But-" He cut me off. "Let's not talk about this. You're going to watch right?" He forced a smile at me.
This is why I don't spend time knowing others beyond the councils, especially the upperclassmen. The people who're 'Too cool to talk to you' shit like that. Invalidating our problems just because they think their problem is much heavier than us, because their older.
Breathe in and out, Frost. Let it go, Let it go. Namaste Elsa. Thank you for your words of wisdom.
Now that I remembered. I can't wait for another day! After this movie, I shall go and retrieve my sacred items! Then show it to Phyro! That'll be awesome.
"Crap." Ice frowned at me. I gave him an apologetic look. I lost my focus and now I have to rewatch it again!
