Trevor
It's been weeks when I visit here for my sister. I've been busy with a lot of things lately. It's getting hard over Falcon.
Speaking of my sister, I went to her room finding Carter and Evelyn outside. Evelyn noticed me. "Trevor! When did came back?" I was about to answer but she went behind me and pushed me towards the door. "Thank goodness you're here!"
Every second passed, I'm getting more confused. "What's going on?" I looked at Carter. "It's Nhinx." He replied.
Worry engulfed me. "What about her? Did something happen? Is she okay?" Carter crossed his arms. "That's what we're trying to figure out."
Evelyn talked behind me. "She didn't came back to the classroom, so I want to know if she's okay. Lillian brought these for her." She went in front of me and pull something in her bag. A lot of goodies.
"Where are the others?" I asked. Both of them look at each other. "They were also here, but we told them that we volunteer to stay. They're proceeding to plan for the winter welcome presentation." Evelyn replied.
"Her human friend?" I asked again. "Inside." Carter shortly answered.
"Give me a minute." I went inside and straight to her room. The door is ajar. I peeked, I saw her and her human friend talking and laughing. I quietly back away and went outside.
Evelyn welcomed me with questions as I went out. "How is she?" I sigh. "I'm not sure myself, but I think she's fine."
Most twins can relate to each other by empathy. I know she's not okay.
She paused and think before saying. "I don't get it. She passed the test, why isn't she happy?"
Carter shrug. "She's here for a few weeks. We don't really know her enough. Get to know first before asking questions that we don't know if personal or not."
"That is true..." Evelyn mumbled. Now that's figured out. "Is Hunter on the planning too? Didn't he have lessons to teach as a substitute?" Evelyn heaves a frustrated sigh. "Guess."
I shook my head, knowing the answer already. "Alright. I guess visiting my sis is for later. I'm heading to my old man, see you guys around." They both waved and went to our separate destinations.
Some things aren't meant to be shared even how close they are.
At last, I've arrived at the old man's office. I opened and saw him, as always, reading his adult paperwork. Without looking at me. "You could've knocked you know?" He retorted.
I flopped down to the couch and groan in frustration. Grandpa finally looked at me. "What's wrong?"
I threw my hands in the air and let them fall-bounce-fall on the couch. "All I want is to stay here!"
I saw grandpa in my peripheral vision, he shook his head. "Have some patience." I groaned and closed my eyes.
"I'm just tired...We never asked to be their entertainment pawn. Why does everybody think it's an opportunity!" I cover my face with my right arm as I leaned my head on the couch.
I felt myself dozing off of exhaustion, but before I completely surrender to slumber, I blurted with loathing. "Champions my ass. Why can't they compete by themselves?"
