Nhinx

As I feared, the first day of the week came fast and ended my dream once and for all.

I groggily sat up and pull myself together by making my eyes fully open. It's a tough job. With all my strength, I left the bed and went to the bathroom. My hair is all over the place, I looked like I've been shocked.

Shower. Brush my teeth and all, they really are ready for me here, now the uniform.

Your typical white blouse in which the sleeves are up to the arms. The black skirt is above the knee-length, in contrast to the golden yellow blazer with black trimmings and the Phoenix surrounded by laurel wreaths logo. Oh, there's a black necktie too and a black high socks.

I picked up my things and put them in my bag, which was there beside my bed since the first day here, and gave myself a final glance on my full-length mirror before heading down.

"I'll guide you to your first class before I leave," Trevor said as he grabs a toast and munch it.

"We're not classmates?" I asked.

"No, not really. I don't go here." He replied nonchalantly.

"Our grandfather is here, so why go to another school?" I asked again.

He drank his hot choco and sigh. "Reasons. After class, maybe you'll know."  He shrugged.

After breakfast, Trevor asked me to wait for him. He came back with his bag and now dressed in another uniform. White polo shirt with a darker shade of gray for the sweater, gold logo patterned maroon necktie, and his gray slacks, his maroon blazer is hanging on his left shoulder.

"Let's go." He motions me to go outside.

A gentle breeze made me feel giddy to go to class. Maybe I'll make friends? Wait, speaking of Friends. I heard a yell from the distance. I spun around to see who it is.

"Do you," Pant. "Have a room," Pant again. "For another one?" Nicole's hands are on both of her knees as she continues to catch her breath.

"What happened to your hair?!" I exclaimed. Her medium length wavy hair is now a wavy short bob. I might get a heart attack if she suddenly got a fringe along with her bob.

Her face turned gloomy and raised her hand in frustration. "I told the barber to trim my hair, not cut it all the way! After they cut it, I just stand there looking at my fallen hair. I felt their pain Nhinx!"

"Wait, why are you calling me that?" I was taken aback by her mentioning my new name or so...my old name.

"Better be done than sorry." She shrugged.

"What?" I tried to fish for more explanation but she brushed it all off.

"Good thing I saved my front hair for becoming a fringe. Now my hair is all the same length." She sighs loudly.

"Come on now, it looks pretty to me, just shocking," I said.

"Thy sacrifice will never be in vain!" She declared.

"Anyway, what happened after you got chased?" I asked worriedly.

"Can I go back? Yes. Am I allowed to go home? No. I will be attending here as well, but I have the freedom to go in both planes if I want to....or if they ask me to do something." She said continuously.

"If they asked you something?" I blurted out. She stopped and looked at me with guilt.

"Don't mind it much. Now, we'll still be classmates." She shrugged.
