thirteen ♔ juniper loves a day trip

"Juniper." Bellamy groaned as he sat outside of Juniper's tent. He was trying to get Juniper to talk to him after what happened with the Grounder. Juniper had no uttered a word to anyone, she just went back to her tent and stayed there. "You have to talk to me." Bellamy added and Juniper just scoffed.

"What are you going to do, whip me, stab me in the hand? We know that doesn't work." Juniper replied snarky and then Bellamy peered his head through the tent. Clarke was busy with Finn, so Juniper was alone in the tent.

"She talks." Bellamy whispered as he looked down ashamed. Juniper sighed as she allowed him into her tent. Bellamy sat down on the makeshift bed beside her. "I needed to do what I had to do." Bellamy argued, still maintaining that he did nothing wrong.

"There is other ways, you don't need to use violence." Juniper stated as she hugged her knees close to her chest and placed her chin on her knees. 

"They don't understand that, they just understand violence." Bellamy argued calmly, in a conversational manner. Juniper shrugged her shoulders as she looked away.

"Maybe we are the only ones who understand violence. I mean look at us, we are killing each other." Juniper argued and Bellamy placed his arm around Juniper's shoulder. This time, she didn't push him away. "Why can we all not get alone?" Juniper asked as she looked up at Bellamy.

"They fired the first shot with Jasper, they killed Roma, they captured Octavia and more." Bellamy explained and Juniper rested her head on Bellamy's shoulder. "Finn was going to die, I couldn't let that happen." Bellamy added and Juniper nodded her head.

"I got scared." Juniper admitted. "It was like I didn't know any of yous. Clarke-" Juniper whispered as her voice stopped as she gulped. "But we will all do what we think is necessary to survive, whether we all believe it or not." Juniper smiled up at Bellamy. She needed to take the adult approach to this and be smart, no point in losing her friends over it.

"I want you to know that I would only do something like that if it was necessary." Bellamy reassured and Juniper nodded her head. 

"I know." Juniper replied in a hushed tone.

It was the next day, and they were able to get video contact with The Ark. So Clarke and Juniper were on speaking to Chancellor Jaha and Kane. Juniper and Clarke had made up last night and they both explained their reasoning for their actions.

"We're doing everything we can to prepare here. We're gathering nuts and berries, curing meats, digging for roots, but the truth is, we'll freeze before we starve." Clarke explained as Juniper nodded her head.

"There's good news on that front. According to civil defense plans from before the war, there's an old emergency aid depot not far from the landing site. Here are the coordinates." Kane explained as he came in to the shot with the coordinates. 

"In addition to supplies, it could provide shelter for the hundred and for the citizens coming down from the Ark." Jaha added and Juniper furrowed her brow at the men. Juniper could not stand Kane, she thought that he was self-righteous and selfish, but maybe she was wrong. 

"And what makes you think it's intact?" Juniper asked.

"It was designed to withstand nuclear warfare." Kane explained and Juniper nodded her head. 

"All right. It's worth a shot." Clarke said as she nodded her head and Juniper leaned in to speak to Clarke.

"I can go after this, take Bellamy." Juniper whispered to Clarke and she nodded her head. Bellamy would be able to carry everything back with her.
