The sun painted the sky a bright yellow shade as the rays strike through the window. My alarm buzzed loudly as my arm instinctively reached out to tap the clock when the sound suddenly stopped before I could reach it. I suddenly felt a hand grab mine and as it led to an embrace. I pulled out my hand out of shock and opened my eyes to find a girl in my shirt. I let out a scream which woke her up before I was met with a heavy-handed slap. She stood up immediately, gave me a scared look.

Her eyes were a bright blue shade akin to the sea on a beautiful morning, her black hair flows smoothly towards her waist, her skin mimics the beautiful white sand in this tropical island, and her luscious lips mimic the red sky during sunset. She looked very amicable but I can see the fear reflected on her face. I had to diffuse the situation before she does something reckless, the best thing to do is for me to reason out to her but before my words could come out of my mouth, the sound of her stomach growling broke the silence.

I laughed loudly at her as she held her stomach and dropped down to the floor in a kneeling position. The atmosphere was light once again as my cheery laughter echoed throughout the room, I stood up and calmly said.

"Wait here, I will cook for you"

I went down to my kitchen where I took the rice in the fridge and chopped 3 cloves of garlic. I cracked 2 eggs and chopped some ham while cooking garlic rice. The pungent aroma wafted throughout the house and I can hear her sneaking downstairs. After I finished cooking the ham and cheese omelet, I turned around to my surprise. She sat in the dinner table with a spoon and fork in hand as her mouth watered. I gave her a glass of milk while serving her the dish, which she ate quickly. I grabbed 2 slices of bread and glass of water as I looked at her wolfing the dish down.

After she finished breakfast, I sat down parallel to her and asked.

"So, What's your name? Why did they throw you in the pier? and What happened last night?"

She faced me with a confused look and asked.

"You don't remember me Jun?"

I was even more confused than she was, she didn't look like anyone I know. I zoomed in to her blue eyes to try and identify who she is, to which, she said.

"Silly me, I forgot you have a bad memory. Well Jun, you won't know who I am since I have different eyes now. Let me try something else to make you remember"

She crawled on top of the table and leaned in to peck my lips to which, she smiled warmly after. The brief contact of her lips made me remember, I shed a tear in my left eye as the painful memories kept rushing back towards me.

It was 1:00 AM and the graduation ball just ended, she was in her white dress and had one too many drinks. She was struggling to keep her balance and she was stopping herself from throwing up. She looked beautiful throughout the night but after he refused to dance with her, she got wasted. We were friends ever since the start of high school and I loved her for 6 years but never told her. I always supported her with the one she liked even though he never paid attention to her. The night was carrying into morning and the once joyous hall was settling down as silence filled the room.

I took her hand and draped it over mine as I carried her, she threw up a couple of times at my suit but I thought that it was my responsibility as her friend to get her home. She was tipsy but conscious, she whispered into my ear with a drunken voice.

"Jun......I'm sorry......"

I could forgive the fact that she's thrown up on me multiple times but I could never forgive Ace for rejecting a dance with her. We were the final 2 people to go down and while we were riding the elevator, I thought that this would be the perfect time to muster up the courage to tell her what I fee and even though she was barely conscious, I know that she can still understand me. I spoke to her in an endearing tone while she replied in a half-awake state.
