The heat of the midday sun was unbearable for most Northerners and I could feel her sweating. The umbrella I had can only shade one person so I gave it to her as I embraced the South Tserron sun. She was reluctant at first when she tried to share the umbrella but as I continued to refuse, she started to accept the fact that she couldn't handle the heat. We reached the mall and as the sliding door opened, a blast of cool air pressed against her skin, she hurriedly went inside while dragging my arm as she laid on the floor and melted in the cool breeze. I could already see stares going in her direction from the Southerners as they laughed under their breaths.

I felt a bit embarrassed when she laid on the floor but since I didn't want her to make a fool out of herself, I laid down next to her as the cool breeze pass by. Once she realized what she did, she quickly stood up and extended her hand towards me and pulled me up and towards a local restaurant to hide her shame. She shyly hid herself away from everyone as I ordered our food, it was lunchtime and the timing was perfect, what better way to let time pass by than lunch? After ordering, I walked to our table with food in hand as she cringed while I laughed at her to break the tension. I then sat parallel to her and jokingly asked

"Can't take the heat?"

Her smile was pure and innocent, I haven't seen her smile like that since our antics back in high school. She then looked at me and in a joyful tone asked

"Why did you lay with me?"

She seems to have forgotten the code we had back in high school so I told her.

"When one of us did something stupid, the other is supposed to follow. That way, we can share the shame right?"

She laughed as we reminisced high school memories while eating and letting time pass us by. Her laugh is one of the most attractive aspects to her, she thinks that it's annoying but to see her filled with joy warms my heart. After eating a hearty lunch, we walked towards the clothing shop. I could see her face grow red once again as we entered. I told her in a calm voice

"Pick some clothes for yourself, you're going to need it during your stay"

I took out my credit card from my wallet and handed it to her, I could see her shrivel up as I urged her to take it. She was very reluctant to accept the card and it showed by how she voiced herself

"Jun, I can't take your card. We don't even know how long I will be staying here, not to mention how I will be paying you back"

I smiled at her as I placed my card in her hand while saying in a sincere tone

"Buy all the clothes you need to last for a week, also, buy 2 pairs of shoes and 3 swimsuits. I will be at the supermarket while you do that okay?"

I could see her face grow bright red as she started to eye out the clothes she wants. She then pecked my cheeks and whispered to my ear

"Thank you Jun"

With that, she accepted the card as I walked towards the supermarket. I stocked up on food that would last for a week and some extra for my friends arriving tomorrow. The lines were long and I was just hoping that Evelyn wouldn't get tired of waiting for me, it felt like I wasted an entire day waiting in line as the hands of my watch zoomed by, after I checked out my groceries, I pushed the cart filled with plastic towards the clothing store where I can see Evelyn patient waiting for me by the bench. She had 3 paper bags by her side and she's still embarrassed to show her face, I've never seen her so red before but then again, she's never one to shy away from showing her emotion. I put her bags in the cart as we walked together. She was looking away from me as we walked and I could sense that something was wrong. The atmosphere became heavy so I thought of a joke to lighten the mood. I chuckled softly and asked in a joking manner
