It was 9 PM when we arrived at my house because of how slow I drove, South Tserron didn't have many cars but I still had to be safe. I unloaded the groceries quietly as Evelyn slept comfortably in the front seat. After everything was unloaded, I carefully lifted Evelyn to my sister's room as I went back to mine. I opened the window to calm my nerves down but the sight was nothing like last night, it was cloudy and the moon was nowhere to be seen. I closed the doors and opened the AC since nature wouldn't help me out with this situation, I was conflicted with myself because if I continued to pursue her, I know that I would be undoing the months of therapy I had undergone. She's here now but I don't even know if I feel the same for her or if I'm just pushing myself on her because she's back. It's eating away at me but I didn't want to deal with it because of how tired I am. I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes, hoping to see better days ahead.

The innocuous taps on my window greets me in the morning as the cold air brushes lightly against my skin. It was colder than expected as I wrapped the blanket a bit tighter around me. A flash of white light fills the room as my screams drown out the sound of my alarm. Thunder soon followed and it was by then that I realized that everything I'm reverting to the person I was before. I just had to accept the fact that I haven't moved on from the incident. The winds grew stronger as the innocuous taps became hard knocks, I became concerned since we are near the seaside and this house is prone to floods so I looked out the window and sight made my hair stand.

There she was in her silk white dress and long black hair, the winds were violently circling her but she's acting like nothing is happening. I could see the waves eat away at the wooden boards as she stood in the middle of the pier. I had to get down there and save her but as I was moving away from the window, the glass shattered and launched the razor-sharp fragments at me. I held my arms in front of my face as the broken shards of glass tear away at my flesh followed with raindrops that felt like pebbles pelting away at me, the wind knocked me off my feet as it blew towards painting the room a dark shade of red. I can feel each drop of blood leave my body while I struggle to crawl towards the door.

I could feel the sand on my wounds as I made it out my room, the pain was unreal as sand was pressed firmly into my skin and infecting my wounds. I grabbed the staircase firmly, cautiously making my way down when I saw that the water was seeping through slowly. I braved through the brown knee-high floodwater barefoot to try and reach the pier, each step I took felt heavier and heavier as the torrents raged against me. I dragged my feet along the floor feeling my way through the street as I approached her. I was inching my way towards her when a strong gust of wind knocked me down, the dirty water caught my eyes as I used my shirt to wipe the water off. I could see the waves grow larger each time they hit the pier so I had to hurry, I inched faster until my feet could feel the wooden boards beneath them.

I yelled out her name but she wasn't responding, I started to take bigger steps to reach out to her carefully choosing my steps since I know that some boards went of flying earlier. The closer I got to her, the stronger the currents pushed against me. Her wet white dress only highlights her figure even more as the wet fabric embraces her skin, her long black hair flows into the distance as she faced the ocean while extending her arms, she was a few steps away and I decided to throw caution to the wind by taking bigger steps. She was few steps away from me as I carefully tread on the wooden pier, one more big step and I could reach but that's when my right foot pushed on a broken board. My foot went through the board until a nail pierced through my knee and held me still. I could feel the splinters burrow their way inside my shin as the nails carve my calves I was in tremendous pain and I yelled out for help but she kept ignoring me while raising both of her hands

I was exhausted and trapped, I couldn't do anything from this point so I yelled at her

"EVELYN, YOU NEED TO GET OUT!"

I looked for debris to throw at her so I can catch her attention but I can only see the water rising. I was desperate to keep her safe so I tried to pull my self off the dock but each time I raised my leg, I could feel the splinters burrow slowly. I tried yelling once again to her

"EVELYN! EVELYN!"

She wasn't responding, I became more worried as panic started to set in. I could see a huge wave coming our way and I struggled to pull myself out of the wooden boards when she finally responded. She turned around to face me while she lowered her arms as the rain carries her smile

Even though her smile was beautiful, I could see the pain etched in her face. Something inside me clicked and I started to gain back my strength once more, the wave was about to engulf as she closed her eyes and smiled. By some miracle, I raised my right leg carrying a plank of wood that was nailed to my knee as I sprinted towards her. Everything around me started to slow down as the raindrops become easier to spot and the wave crept behind her. Even though my right leg was in so much pain, I continued to run towards her until I hugged her and the wave crashed around us.

I held her tightly in my arms as the tides pullback towards the ocean, I felt like my lungs were about to explode as I hugged her even tighter. I was beginning to lose consciousness but I still had a tight grip. I could feel her hands caressing my cheeks as she whispers in my ear

"I'm sorry Jun"

I opened my eyes in the dead of night to an unusual feeling. The bed seems smaller than usual and my legs are exposed to the cold. I felt something soft as I squeezed using my right hand and immediately blushed as I did. I wrapped my arm around her tighter as I whispered into her ear

"I'm sorry Evelyn, I love you"
