Nights seem a lot longer
When someone or something
Keeps you awake
And them thoughts
Craving their way to your head
Invade all your will to sleep
And instead of it, you're falling into their trap
Because you're human
Because you struggle just like we all do
Because you are happy and sad
Chaotic and collected
All at the same time
And they say in winter
Nights get longer and days shorter
But days seem to pass like ages
When you're waiting for nighttime.
And your biggest fear of all
Is that
You're gonna lose your sleep
For something that's not worth it
And in the end, it's always
Like that
