I go to sleep every night
When it's already day
Because we talk for hours
Or to be precise
We laugh, we learn
We watch the same sky
From different windows
And you listen to me while
I try and prove a point
Show you how smart I actually am.
And then we discuss life as if
We are two philosophers
Stuck in a new dimension
When you and I are just beings.
Simple, but out of the ordinary
And throughout the day, I might be
The saddest person in the world;
But then the sky is dark again,
My parents are peacefully sleeping
In their bedroom downstairs,
And i take off my clothes
I dive into my fluffy pajamas
And i smile
Because it's night again
And you are calling.
