I have never seen anything like it before. A chest full of gold, silvers, and things I cannot even make an understanding of. And we have it all.
It's far too bad that it did not come easy though.
I feel my chest being tugged at for more air but there is no time to waste. I let my mates go on ahead first, to the ship, so that the treasure is stored safely.
In the meantime, my first mate Layalia is redirecting the crew safely back to the ship while I fend off these bloody leeches coming after our treasure!
"Rycan! Hand me my cutlass, no need for using the pistols! It's a waste of ammunition!"
Rycan, my quartermaster, older brother of Layalia, wastes no time at my commands.
"Aye Captain!"
Luckily for us, these pirates after our loot are amateurs. They're sloppy and I can sniff a fledgling from a mile away.
Their first or second pickings, maybe.
It's got nothing on us. So I figure I toy with them a little.
Two near in on me while the rest of their small man crew of ten follow far behind, which gives Rycan enough time to hand me my cutlass before that.
A squiggly looking lad wobbles his way first toward me. I could not help but to notice his single gold tooth and matted dark hair. He was probably only a tad taller than me but perhaps in age, a few years before me. He smiled devilishly as he approached. His black bandana, gritty white shirt plagued with dirt, and red and white scarf stood out as a child to me.
Nonetheless, his grin tells me enough that he has a mild sense of arrogance.
He believes I am too small of stature to rough him up plenty.
Well he shall see.
He drew his small edged dagger and launched it ahead at me, more towards my head.
Oh, so it has begun young fledgling!
I duck and as always, Rycan came in just in time to throw me my cutlass which I caught effortlessly. He opened his mouth to speak, though I knew what he wanted already.
"Have yourself some fun Rycan, and take only a few with you for support. I got these two!" I laughed.
Rycan grinned knowingly.
"Aye Captain, as you wish."
He shook his head at my laughter, while the two poor lads in front of me knew nothing of what was to come for them.
I used my cutlass to jab at their shirts and pants. Both fellows, the other being a much taller lad, with loose wavy blonde hair, bit his lip as he tried to counter my moves with his own cutlass.
No matter.
The skinnier one started to back away with his eyes widened and mouth pressed firmly together, as though he were concentrating on a game he knew he was losing.
I could not help but to let out a small series of chuckles as I jabbed throughout his clothing, leaving almost nothing left of his shirt and only traces of his bottom. Embarrassed, he retreated back from whence he came.
His mate however, wasn't as easy to toy with. He was familiar with how to duel. But no matter.
He danced with his sword under the moonlight and I deflected each blow with the edges of my cutlass.
His dark eyes met mine in wavering confusion. I could only grin. Finally, I lifted my sword up while his was over mine, and released the sword from his grips with a twist of my blade, injuring him only slightly so that it allowed his cutlass to fall into my other hand. I now had both cutlasses. His eyes were of pure amazement.
