The things were all set up, and everyone was sitting on the towels, enjoying the warmth of the sun.
Seonghwa couldn't stop looking around, observing the new environment. It was so foreign to him.
"Can, can I walk a little around?" He asked the demons, who all turned to look at him.
"Of course sweetheart. Don't ask. But you should change clothes, they will get wet" Yeosang said, and appeared a pair of shorts.
Seonghwa took them in his hands, and without questioning it, he went behind a tree and changed. Maybe he should have asked what to wear.
He folded his pants and went to place them on his towel.
"Take your shoes also off. It will be easier to walk" Hongjoong said, gesturing for them, who had all taken their shoes of.
"Oh ok" He said quietly and took them off. He put them beside the towel and started getting away from the demons. He really wanted to go close to the blue water.
His feet stepped on the sand, his toes curled, enjoying the new feeling. His feet sank a little, and the heat of the sun was burning them, so he moved quickly to the water.
He saw how the water was moving closer to him, and once it reached the sand it created a white foam, only to get away again.
He went and stood closer, the sand getting cooler. He waited patiently for the water to come, sending a shiver all over his body.
He giggled because of this, and went further inside, until his mid calf was submerged in the water. He didn't go any further, fearing what was laying beyond. Besides, he didn't know how to swim, so he didn't take any changes.
He started waking along the sea, the smile never leaving his face. He would kick the water from time to time, or small rocks that were found in his way.
But as he was walking, always seeing back, so that he knew that he wasn't getting too far away from the demons, he spotted something close to a rock. He moved closer and looked at a weird shaped rock. It was big and white, with lines going along it. It was beautiful.
He took it in his hands, feeling the harsh texture under his fingers. He really wanted to show it to the demons.
He held it firmly and started running, as much as he could, until he spotted the demons, looking at him with smiles on their faces.
"Look what I found!" He said with the excited tone of a small kid, and showed them the beautiful rock.
"Ah, you found a sea shell" Jongho said, staring at him with pride.
Seonghwa tilted his head to side, with confusion written all over his face.
"A what?"
"A sea shell. Cmon, I'll tell you what it is" Yunho said, enthusiasm coating his voice.
He moved closer to the boy and Seonghwa sat on his knees, right on the sand, ignoring the fact that it was sticking to his legs due to the water.
He gave Yunho the so called sea shell, and waited to hear what it was.
"OK little one so, this is a sea shell. As if we hadn't said that three times already. So, this is very very ancient shell, where small crabs and other creatures inhabited. Imagine it like turtles or snails. Inside this, different animals lived, but mostly crabs"
Seonghwa watched him and listened him with so much attention, he didn't even blink. Though Yunho may not have said anything important, to Seonghwa it was everything.
But this look, soon gave his position to a horror one, making the demons worry.
"Do you mean that I took a crab's house?" He said, almost tearing up. He was so happy when he discovered that shell, he had no idea that a sea creature may lived there.
The demons released a sight of relief hearing that. At least it wasn't anything serious. But a smile was formed on their faces, seeing the pure and innocent face of Seonghwa.
"No, no sweetheart" Mingi quickly said, not wanting for Seonghwa to thing any further.
"This shell is alone, no creatures live here. Don't worry""So, noone got hurt right?" Seonghwa said, moving closer to the demons, wanting a hug right now. He almost had a heart attack.
"Exactly sweetheart. Noone was hurt" San said, opening his arms, only for Seonghwa to fall right into them, placing his face on the crook of his neck.
"Anyway, should we go inside? The water must be really nice" Yeosang suggested and started changing. He just snapped his fingers, and he was wearing only swimming shorts.
What he got, and hoped for, was the intense stares of the demons. And Seonghwa too.
The human felt his face grew hotter, and he couldn't help but stare down Yeosang's body. He was embarrassed and tried to look away, not wanting to get caught. But the rest of them had other ideas, since they didn't even make an attempt to stop.
Jongho was the first to stand up, changing his clothes, smirking while approaching the demon. With a swift move, he took him in his arms, and moved along to the sea.
Seonghwa smiled seeing them, having a sudden urge to go inside the sea. But he wouldn't. He would fight it.
"Seonghwa. Would you go inside?" San asked, hugging the boy tighter.
"You, you can go first. I'll come later" He said.
"Are you sure? Are you gonna be OK?"
"Yeah why wouldn't I be?"
"I can stay here to keep you company" The demon said, looking seriously at Seonghwa. He wasn't gonna leave the human alone.
"No, it's alright. The others are waiting for you. I'll be fine" He gave him a reassuring smile, nudging his side.
San kissed softly the boy's forehead, rubbing his arm, after he finally lifted himself from the towel.
He changed too, and smiling one last time at Seonghwa, he went inside the sea. He was very much needed there, because Hongjoong was holding Wooyoung under the sea, not planning on letting him to the surface. And the others were dying of laughter, completely ignoring the drowning demon.
Seonghwa laughed slightly at that, having seen the scene from the beginning. Apparently, Wooyoung had pulled Hongjoongs mullet a little too hard, causing the demon to fall into the water. And Hongjoong was having none of that.
Seonghwa spent a little time, just watching the demons in the water. They were having so much fun, Seonghwa loved to see them. Their loud yells was the only thing that was heard in this remote place.
Seonghwa moved from his position, and after searching around for a bit, he found some rocks that were under a tree, and went to sit there.
The shadow from the trees was enough, and Seonghwa sat down on the flat surface of the rock, having a better view of the demons.
The small shell that he had found was in his hands, and he kept looking at it. It was everything to him.
"Seonghwa!" He suddenly heard his name, and looked up, seeing the demons waving at him from inside the sea.
Hongjoong was on top of Mingis shoulders, Wooyoung on San, and Yeosang on Yunho, leaving Jongho to float on the surface.
Seonghwa waved shyly at them, smiling widely.
"Will you join us?"
