Seonghwa got inside his own room. He took a sleeping pill he had prepared, hoping that he would be able to sleep.
He took his phone and saw the time. It was pretty late, so he charged it, and after closing the light to his room, he got under the thick covers on the bed.
But nothing happened. His eyes stayed open, staring at the ceiling. It didn't matter to him that he was in a new environment, that what the old lady had said to him was circling his mind. No. He simply couldn't sleep.
He tossed and turned in his bed. He tried counting sheep, yeah childish but he was running out of options. There was no way he would stand up to grab anything else like some water or some tea, so he stayed there. He tried blinking his eyes, to tire them, but nothing.
So he turned his attention to his window. It was huge and it had a great view. The moon was shining bright, illuminating the room, and Seonghwa could faintly see some starts forming in the sky.
An unconscious smile was formed into his lips. He was free, away from the phenomenal problems, ready to live his own life. And this house was what he needed for the new start.
His eyes started drooping, signalling that he was finally ready to sleep. And he welcomed it. He was feeling so tired.
It was after hours that Seonghwa woke up from his sleep, drenched in sweat. The nightmare was too vivid. But there was one problem. Seonghwa couldn't scream or move during his nightmares. It was something like sleep paralysis. He tried really hard to move but he didn't succeed. He always opened his eyes, blinking furiously at them to get those images away. But his body couldn't move. As hard as he tried, he could not move even his pinky. And so today's nightmare wasn't any different.
Seonghwa opened his eyes, blinking them furiously trying to get the sleep off his eyes and forget those horrible images. More like memories. And that was even more harsh.
But there was one problem. Seonghwa was laying on his bed, facing the ceiling, his limps curled close to him. And once he opened his eyes he saw something in the corner of the room.
It seemed like a shadow of someone, or so he thought. But that wasn't even the scariest part. Seonghwa saw something glowing on the shadow. It seemed like there was a person on the corner of his room, and from what he could understand, it seemed like this glowing bright red seemed to be his eyes.
Seonghwas face turned white as a sheet and his heart started beating like crazy. He tried to move but nothing. He stared right back at the shadow, but it didn't do anything.
He tried moving his pinky after some time, and soon enough it moved. Seonghwa sighed in relief and soon his limps started moving. With a sudden move he flunged his arms and brought them to his face, rubbing his eyes hard.
He reopened them and saw again at the corner, but he saw nothing. Of course what did he expect? To actually be something there? Of course. He shook his head, and took deep breaths to calm his heart.
He lifted himself of the bed, and went to shower to take the sweat away, and to change clothes. He wasn't gonna sleep like this. So after all of this, he went again back to bed. But there was no way he would go to sleep.
He checked his phone that was right beside him, seeing the time. Four in the morning. Well now he surely wasn't gonna sleep. So he stood up and went to the kitchen to make some tea. Maybe this would help him relax.
