It was a sunny autumn morning in Hawkins and El was in the kitchen making herself some Eggos. Everyone else in the house was still asleep but she was hungry and couldn't resist. She followed her daily routine of getting up, getting food and watching one of her soaps which she missed from the night before.

As always, she was half way through when a tiny person jumped on her from behind the couch.

"Honey you scared me!" El complained. "Come sit with mommy." El held her arms open for her 3 and a half year old daughter, Ivy Eleanor Wheeler. El loves her name, Ivy coming from her mothers last name, Ives, and Eleanor coming from El. Ivy was a bright little girl yet very feisty, just like her mother. She learnt very quickly, Mike believes she is going to be a scientist of course.

El had always dreamed of having a little girl. She felt extremely blessed. Ivy was the spitting image of El, she had gorgeous olive skin, a cute button nose and of course the signature brown curls. She had her fathers freckles which El was obsessed with and her fathers deep brown eyes. Other than that, she was all El.

Personality wise, she was all Mike. She loved to watch movies, she loved to play games and read. She also loved to learn, which was a blessing because Mike was not prepared to have a troublemaker child. At the age of 3 she was a complete nerd and Mike and El loved it.

"Mommy." Ivy whispered, snapping El out of her daydream.

"Yes baby?" El whispered back.

"Scare daddy?" Ivy chuckled.

El couldn't help but laugh at her cheekiness, "okay."

El stood up and took Ivy's hand. She led them to their bedroom where her husband was still sound asleep.

"Count to three then go." El motioned to the bed and let go of Ivys hand.

Ivy slowly climbed on the bed and sat next to her father who was laying on his front, his mess of curls covering most of his face.

"3, 2, 1." Ivy whispered. "Morning daddy! Get up daddy!" She shouted while jumping on the bed.

Mike groaned as he moved his hair out of his eyes to see his daughter grinning at him. Mike looked past Ivy, to see El smiling with her arms crossed, leaning against the door frame.

"It was all her idea." El whispered and winked at him.

"Of course it was, coz she's good at causing mischief." Mike chuckled before grabbing Ivy and tickling her, making her kick her legs and flay her arms around.

El just watched and admired the sight. Mike was so good with her, she was so proud of the family they had created. El knew that her attention wouldn't be able to stay on just Ivy, with the new baby on the way, her time with Ivy will become even more precious. She also knew before long Ivy would be all grown up, so she treasured moments like this. Just taking a moment to stand back and watch, embedding it in her memory.

Mike finished tickling Ivy, "that's what you get for waking daddy up early on a Saturday."

"Early? It's 9:30am Micheal." El huffed.

"Yeah see, early!" Mike said.

El just rolled her eyes at him and moved her glance to her daughter who was now tucked under the covers, cuddling into Mike's side. Her heart just about melted.

"Come join mommy." Ivy called.

El just smiled and jumped into bed, El on one side of her daughter and Mike on the other. Nothing could be more perfect.

...

El woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside the basement window. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and immediately travelled to the boy laying next to her.

"Hey." He said.

"Hey." El smiled.

"What were you dreaming about? Mike asked.

"How did you know I was dreaming?" El asked, almost embarrassed.

"You were smiling in your sleep." Mike chuckled, moving a curl from her face to behind her ear. "What was your dream about?"

"Us. Our future, it was perfect." El couldn't help but grin like a fool.

"Tell me about it." Mike smiled, he loved thinking about their future. They may only be 16, but they knew they were going to end up together.

"It was just perfect. Me and you, our first child. Everything about it was perfect." El grabbed his hand and laced her fingers with his.

"That's how it will be." He brought her hand up and placed a soft kiss to her skin.

"I know." El smiled.

Mike leant forward and placed a passionate kiss to her lips, before pulling away slightly and letting their foreheads rest together.

After a few moments El pulled away, "Mike?"

"Yeah El?" His eyes instantly met her gaze.

"Can we name our first daughter, Ivy Eleanor Wheeler?" El bit her lip gently, she felt kind of awkward asking this now at their age.

Mike just grinned and nodded, "I love it."

El grinned and snuggled into his side, sighing in content. She couldn't wait for their future together.
