3rd April 1986:
"Mike!" she giggled, covering her face with her hands. "Mike stop!"
"One more!" He pleaded, standing opposite her with his camera in his hand.
"No." She whined, giving him a serious look.
"Please." He pouted, tilting his head to the side like a dog.
"Fine." She rolled her eyes and went back to posing for the camera.
For Christmas 1985, Mr and Mrs Wheeler had bought Mike a new camera and Mike being the love sick fool that he is, has found the only thing he wants to take photos of. His beautiful girlfriend.
Mike always stopped to admire her whenever she wasn't looking, or sometimes when she is. Because in his eyes, she is a work of art that he'll never get tired of looking at.
He loved to analyse all her feature and to take in all of the parts of her which make her who she is. So, as soon as he got his camera, he knew that she would be his main muse.
It was a spring afternoon in 1986 and Mike had taken El out for a picnic. His mother had helped him, well, made most of the food while Mike packed his bag with his camera and El's favourite hoodie.
The date started out normally. The two chatting, sharing the food and El making a daisy crown which she begged to put in his hair. Reluctantly, he agreed, knowing it would make her happy.
Though, what Mike didn't know was that she was planning on taking a photo. She hid the camera behind herself as she created the crown, Mike watching her intently with 'heart eyes' as Max would say.
El finished the chain rather quickly, something Joyce had taught her when El wasn't allowed out properly. She gently placed it over Mike's raven curls before softly kissing his nose, causing a pink blush to creep up his cheeks and love-sick grin to pull at his lips.
"How do I look?" Mike asked.
"Beautiful." She replied simply, slowly reaching behind her to grab the camera, hoping he wouldn't notice.
Luckily, a bird flew over head and caught his eye, so she was able to quickly snap a photo of him.
"Hey!" He protested, leaning forward to grab the camera but he missed.
"You always take photos of me, it's my turn. Plus you look cute." She smiled.
Mike rolled his eyes and leant back on his hands, "You do realise that Max is going to rip me to shreds if she ever sees that."
"I don't care. I'm keeping it." El said, clutching the polaroid and picturing where she could hang it up on her wall.
"Fine." Mike huffed, knowing there was no point in arguing, he would lose anyway.
El beamed at him, gently tucking the picture into her coat pocket.
Mike sat up properly and took the crown off his head, causing El's smile to falter. He lifted it up over her head and placed it atop her honey curls. "There." He smiled. "Where the crown should be."
El's heart fluttered in her chest as she stared loving at her boyfriend.
"You look beautiful." He whispered, before pecking her softly on the nose just like she did to him a few moments prior.
El just stayed silent, in a complete trance as she watched his deep brown eyes trace each and every part of her face, as if she was the only thing in the world he ever wanted to look at.
"Can I take a photo of you?" He asked, one finger lifting her chin up slightly and the other tucking a curl behind her ear.
"If I say no you'll do it anyway." She smiled.
