Moon and Flowers

Chapter Three

As soon as my alarm goes off, though sleepy, my energy filling my excitement has never been like this for so long. I'm starting my quest today. I'm going to an actual job today. Pinulot ko ang moon notebook ko at lumabas na para maghilamos sana at mag-toothbrush nang makaharap ko si Spade. I took a step back. As always, he didn't look at me for a while. Instead, he went straight to the bathroom.

I sometimes wonder if he doesn't have his own bathroom inside. I got quick glances in his room but I never actually got to look at it. He doesn't like anyone in his room, which is the first rule I received from him. But I can tell it seems pretty spacious.  

I didn't bother to wait for him since he probably went straight to the shower. Dumeretso na ako sa kusina and washed my face in the sink at least. I wore the customized moon apron I have that I think is cute, as I've decided to prepare for his breakfast. I looked at my notebook thoroughly and searched for the breakfast planned for this particular day. These are the quickest and easiest to make.

Spade loves toast in the morning. Normally, it's just topped with egg, herbs, and cheese melts. That's what I did for today. And of course, his infamous coffee. 

When I heard the bathroom door creaked, I didn't mean to look at him. I just did it mindlessly. I found him drying his hair while a towel is wrapped around his waist. The man is half-naked. Napatalikod ako bigla at nagkunwaring busy sa dining table. My cheeks instantly boiled up. Oh, it suddenly felt so hot. I shouldn't have just turned my head, oh heaven. A robe is not his thing and I will never get used to seeing him in that form. Is this even part of my job here?

When I heard his bedroom door shut, I pulled out the deep, heavy breath that wanted to get out. Tinapos ko na lang ang pagkain niya at hinanda na lang sa lamesa. I did another round of breathing exercises before leaning on his door. I don't know if he can hear me from here but I don't know. Tatawagin ko pa ba siya? I mean, he'll surely get out anyway.

I just went straight to the bathroom instead to prepare for this exciting day ahead. Pagkatapos kong maligo, I really hurried to go to my room and anticipated to wear my outfit for today. I've been seeing this a lot in the dramas I watched. I wore a white keyhole top in long sleeves and a pair of grayish blue trousers. I wore my loafers since heeled shoes aren't advisable for me. I slipped my laptop in my workbag as well as my essentials. I can't believe I am actually on my way to the office!

I applied a quick touch of makeup before going out of my room. The first thing I noticed was the dining table. The breakfast I prepared for Spade is all gone. Napanguso na lang ako nang mapansing umalis na si Spade. Right. I was too bold to assume he will be waiting for me to finish up at least. 

Nagligpit na lang ako at nagpunta sa kusina. Kukuha sana ako ng mga ingredients ng smoothie sa fridge nang may mapansin akong note sa moon magnet na nilagay ko. It's Spade's handwriting. It's my department's floor. I snatched the note and placed it inside my bag. I quickly made my smoothie in a mini blender and got it straight with me. 

Pagdating ko sa office niya, I instantly got mesmerized by the people. My heart raced quickly yet it feels really good. Parang ngayon nga lang ako nakalabas ng bahay. Though I'm pretty sure I'm quite late.

When I went in, the bodyguard outside went with me. Oh my god, could this possibly be Spade's bodyguard? He even tapped his own ID for me to get in the turnstile. When an elevator dinged open, pumasok na yung iba. 

"Excuse po, guest of the executives," sabi nung bodyguard. 

Lumabas silang lahat at pinapasok ako kasama nung bodyguard. This is so ridiculous. 

"Are you the CEO's bodyguard?" I asked.

The bodyguard shook his head. "Kay Sir Sebastien po, Miss Diana."
