Zaniel AU (Love Sick).

Chapter 9

Zach's POV:-
I knew I shouldn't have told Daniel not to meet me because it hurt when I couldn't see his beautiful face which always seemed to calm me. But it wasn't my decision to do so. I was forced. By my aunt. And I had no choice but to do it because she threatened to hurt my siblings as well.
Yes, the bruises on my cheek were from her beating. I had some on my stomach, wrists and legs as well. But they were always covered by my shirts since I wore long sleeved ones every day.

I know I shouldn't have lied to Daniel but I didn't have a choice. She would've beaten my younger siblings and I couldn't let that happen. Besides I was used to her beatings.

The main reason why she wanted me to stop meeting Daniel was because she was afraid we were going to become close and he would find out her secret.

I sighed as I got out of bed, ready to do my chores for the day.

As I did so, I heard a knock on the front door and went downstairs to open it as my aunt instructed me.

I opened it and got the biggest surprise of my life as I saw who was standing there.

There, on the other side of the door stood none other than Daniel Seavey, the prince of Calendenia.

I bowed my head.

"Good Morning, Your Majesty", I whispered hesitantly.

"Good Morning Zach", he replied.

There were two guards standing behind him. His usual two whom he always brought anywhere with him.

Before I could say anything else, my aunt bustled into the room.

"Who is it?", she asked before noticing Daniel at the front door.

"Your Majesty", she says bowing her head"What a pleasure. Please do come in".

"If you don't mind I would like to have a few words with Zach", he said looking at her.

"Certainly, Your Majesty", she said looking at him intently.

"Thank you", he said before looking at me"Please Zach. Once you're ready. Meet me in the same place we always used to meet at".

"As you wish, Sire", I replied bowing my head.

He nodded his head then turned around and headed towards the park. As soon as I closed the door, I heard my aunt's voice behind me.

"Go on. You heard the prince", she said harshly."Get dressed and go meet him".

I nodded and started going up to my room.

"Oh. And remember", she said"If you say anything to him about this. It'll be the worst for you and your siblings".

I nodded again and silently made my way upstairs, getting dressed and going downstairs to meet Daniel. I just hope he wouldn't ask me alot of questions. Because it was going to be difficult not to avoid them or lie about them. It was difficult as it is to hide my feelings for him from him.

I sighed taking a deep breath and started making my way towards the forest which lead to the park.
