Zaniel AU (Love Sick).

Chapter 18

Daniel's POV:-
As soon as I opened the door, I saw Zach's aunt standing there. What the fuck? How did she know I was here?

I kept my expression and posture calm though, not wanting her to know that she had surprised me. I wanted to play along to her game until my guards would come back. Hopefully they had had s chance to leave before they were discovered.

"Leaving so soon, Your highness", she said smirking at me.

I glared at her.

"Move out of the way or you'll face consequences", I said in a low yet harsh voice as Zach was in my arms asleep now.

"Oh. And what's a tiny little prince like you going to do to me alone?", she asked.

Good, She hadn't discovered my guards, I thought smiling to myself.

"You have no clue", I answered stalling her for a while hoping my guards had had enough time to call back up. I knew they had left because otherwise she and her men would've discovered them before me.

She smirked at me again then snapped her fingers. Two men appeared and she called out to them.

"Take the prince away", she ordered."And make sure he gets special treatment. After all we wouldn't want him to feel less worthy of his title".

The two men laughed and grabbed me, pulling me towards an empty room. I still had Zach in my arms and I couldn't let him go since he was sleeping. But before they could push me inside the room, I heard a voice from behind us and looked up to see my dad. And he was with twenty guards.

"Not so fast", he said."Unless you want to be hanged, I suggest you let go of both boys".

The men froze and let go of me. I smiled. Not only had my guards gotten back up, they also brought my father with them.

The men were arrested and escorted out of the place. Zach's aunt tried to run but she was immediately taken captive.

I approached her with Zach still in my arms. He was sleeping again as I assumed he was still drained. And the ropes must have drained his strength more than usual.

"You were warned Mrs.Miller", I said to her."But you didn't pay heed to the warnings".

She glared at me trying to loosen the grip of the guards on her but they held on tightly.

"Take her away", I ordered and the guards escorted her out of the tree, taking her back to the palace.

Once everyone had left except me, Zach, my dad and a couple of guards who were four in total, just mine and my dad's personal guards, I turned towards my dad smiling at him.

"Thank you Dad", I said to him.

" Anytime son ", he answered smiling at me.

Then he looked down at Zach in my arms and frowned.

" Is he okay?", he asked looking concerned.

"I think so", I answered."Although, I think he's drained. You know his aunt barely gave him food".

My father nodded and we started to walk towards the tree's entrance. But as we reached it, I suddenly stopped. My father realized I had stopped and turned around to look at me.

"What is it son?", he asked.

"Ryan and Reese. We have to find them", I answered.

"Of Course son", he said nodding his head."But I think you should head back with me. I'll send a couple of guards over to check for them".

I nodded my head and followed him out of the tree, back to the palace.

Once we arrived, I headed up to my bed and laid Zach on it.

As soon as I did he started stirring and mumbling. I placed my hand on his forehead and discovered a raging fever.

"Ryan. Reese. DANI. NOOOOOOOOOO. Please don't hurt them Aunt.....I'll leave. Just don't hurt them. PLEASE".

He kept on mumbling and started to sweat.  I frowned. I hope he'll be better soon.

I quickly got up to tell my mom so she could arrange a doctor for Zach as soon as possible. And with the thought in my head, I headed out the door to look for my mom.
