Chapter 19

Zach's POV:-
I woke up to feel the sun shining on my face. I looked to my side to see Daniel laying beside me with his wrapped over my chest and his head snuggled against the pillow. I blushed.

What had happened?

I remember being trapped in a basement by my aunt and the next thing I know, I was waking up in the castle, specifically Daniel's room.

I felt Daniel stir against me as I tried to sit up without disturbing him. He opened his eyes slowly, blinking then looked up at me. As soon as he saw me awake, he sat up quickly.

"Zach?", he said softly"Are you feeling better?".

"Yes", I answered looking down at my lap. I daren't look at him. I already was an idiot for leaving in the first place.

"Hey. Are you sure you're okay?", he asked again, his voice still soft. Was he not mad at me?.

"I'm sorry", I mumbled but he still heard me.

"For what?", he asked.

"For running away", I answered.

"Oh baby", he said placing his fingers under my chin."Look at me".

I looked up at him slowly.

"I'm not mad" he whispered his breath so close to my face."I love you Zach".

My eyes widened for a split second. It was the first time either of us had said "I love you" to each other even though it was pretty obvious we liked each other. Then I smiled at him.

"I love you too", I whispered.

He looked at me slowly leaning in then gently placed his lips on mine. Finally. I kissed back passionately, the feeling of his warm lips against mine driving me crazy. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he snaked his around my waist. We kissed for another few minutes before both of us pulled away panting heavily.

"Ryan and Reese", I asked suddenly worried"Where are they?".

"Hey hey. Calm down", he said cupping my face"They're alright. Probably still sleeping though".

"How long was I out?", I asked him.

"Five days", he answered and my eyes widened."You were completely drained".

"Right", I said.

He laughed.

"Come on. Let's go tell everyone you're awake", he said."Corbyn and Jack will be here soon. Eben and Jonah too".

I smiled at him and we both got out of bed, him grabbing my hand and leading me out of the room.
