Chapter 11

Zach's POV:-
Today was the day we were going to go face to face with my aunt and I was determined to not let her win and I could tell Daniel wasn't either. After all the law itself was against it.

Fifty minutes and a lot of debates later, we finally won the case with Daniel and my lawyer convincing the judge that it was my right to have custody over my siblings.

My aunt was escorted out of the court with a warning that if she was ever found doing such illegal stuff again, she would be arrested on the spot and hanged.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw her leave and ran to Ryan and Reese picking them up and hugging them. They were in my custody now. I smiled as I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to see Dani there.

I put my siblings down and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you Daniel", I said pulling back."Thank you for everything".

"Anytime", he said."Now come on. We have to go. We're running late".

"I uh don't think I'm going to come with you. I'll buy a place for the three of us and we'll go stay there", I said hesitantly.

He sighed.

"Zach. Please", he said."I'm not taking no for an answer. Now come on".

And that's how I ended up staying with Daniel Seavey, the prince of Calandenia.

I pitched in with all kinds of work but I had a feeling that Daniel's parents didn't welcome with open arms. It seemed like I was a burden on them and a distraction for Daniel.

Corbyn and Jack, Daniel's best friend liked me though and often came to visit. Still the uncomfortable feeling of not being welcomed lingered in the air and I couldn't help but wonder what if I had refused Daniel's offer of staying at the castle with him?

I wasn't happy. Because I wasn't wanted in the castle. I was going to leave today. So I packed my bags, Ryan's and Reese's that night and shook them awake.

"Come on Reese. We have to go. Wake up bub", I called to my little sister softly.

"Zachy. Where are we going?", Reese asked me rubbing her eyes.

"Somewhere else sweetie", I replied."Now let's go".

"But why are we leaving? Doesn't Dani like us anymore? Does he want us to leave?", she further asked her lips trembling.

"No no baby girl", I replied trying to calm her down.

"Then why are we leaving?", she asked.

"I'll tell you soon. Now let's go", I said to her softly.

She nodded and got out of bed, getting dressed. I woke up Ryan, he got dressed and we slowly made our way to the entrance ready to leave. I had left Dani a letter to let him know I had left, explaining why or how in the letter.

In my time, staying at the castle I had earned a little money and so I might be able to get us a ride to somewhere.

I got out my money but realized that I had left more than half of it back at the castle. Well, it was too late now. I was going to have to make do with what I had. It wasn't enough to get a car but it was enough to buy food for three days. I was going to start a job soon anyways.

So carrying Reese and Ryan walking beside me, I started to make my way towards the town where I could easily find work without being a burden on someone.
