They reach the famed Jurassic Park gate with the torches. (from the scene in the film; "What have they got in there, King Kong?" but we're on the park side, not the entrance/visitor's side). They DO NOT KNOW THE CODE. (it's 4672, the random numbers Carlos was yelling into the radio as he was getting killed... knowing he was about to die, he was trying to give them his passcode so they could get out themselves)
Opportunity for the players here to get creative. Climbing over the wall? Exploring the jeep to find rope supplies? One of the players figures out how to open the gate with the code? A high sleight of hand check would count as "computer hacking" to BYPASS the code. Let the players have fun with this! The gate is meant to be passable eventually.
Shouldn't take too much time, but easily skippable if playing time is running too long. A lot of these scenarios took longer in real-time than I expected.

AdventureUsing the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5e I wrote and ran a Jurassic Park One-Shot for my friends for my birthday in June 2019. The idea is a "prologue" that ties in directly to the events of the first Jurassic Park film by Steven Spielberg.
