An event-free drive to the helipad. Playing track 10 "A Tree for My Bed" from the soundtrack would be nice here - the storm has subsided, but thick, low dark clouds remain close overhead. It's been a long, long night. In fact, it's almost sunrise, but still dark out.

The helicopter lands, everyone gets on board. It's time to get back to the mainland. As you take off, you see the scene we remember from the very first introductory scene of Jurassic Park. They see a huge cage lifted by a crane (velociraptor inside), which is lowered and pressed to the opening for the new cage. You think you might hear screams and cries before the sounds of the helicopter rotors drown it out.

It's that eerie gray light before dawn - too cloudy and foggy for sunlight to breach the horizon. Everything has a milky, lavender hue to it. The breeze is warmer now, it feels good on everyone's wet hair and bloodied elbows and hands.

Marcus is on the phone with Hammond, tattling on Muldoon. Suddenly, the entire helicopter shudders, and the long beak of a pterodactyl juts into the open side of the helicopter and yanks Marcus out. It had been clinging to the underside of the copter like a bat clings to a cave roof, avoiding the whirling blades. Screaming prey in mouth, it drops like a falling eagle towards the sea! It opens the wings wide once they are clear of the blades, and whoosh - catches an air current, and sweeps back towards the island in the fog, disappearing once and for all.

And now, you're on your way home. Forever changed.
