Kira, Finn, and BB-8 arrived at Niima Outpost in the morning. Kira led her two companions through the outpost, not happy to be back there at all. As soon as she saw the familiar red entrance, she felt anger spread through her veins. Just thinking about the place made her angry because of the pain she had to go through there. Being abandoned by her parents and being abused by the owner of the place. Kira couldn't take it.

Kira then saw Unkar Plutt's stand and stopped when they neared it. "All we have to do is ask Unkar for a ship," she told them. "Unfortunately, he's not weak minded, so you can't use a mind trick on him. We have to get some sort of ship, so we need to try our best. Just let me do the talking."

Finn nodded and they went into the line of scavengers, waiting to trade in their parts for food. Kira shook her head, recognizing a few of the scavengers. They still had to suffer under the hands of Unkar Plutt, who would starve them no matter what. She was lucky to get out of there when she did. She didn't think she'd be able to survive being alone and hungry.

It was their turn after a few minutes. Kira walked up to Unkar first and smirked. "Hello, Unkar," she greeted.

Unkar glared when he recognized her due to her hair buns. "Rey," he sneered, causing for Finn to raise an eyebrow at Kira. "What are you doing back here? I thought that you were finally killed by steelpeckers or the sinking sand fields."

"Don't call me that name," Kira said with a glare. "It's Kira now and I would rather be drowning in the sinking sand fields than be back here. But I didn't come to spew insults at you. I came to ask you for a ship."

Unkar laughed and smirked at her. "You think I'm going to give you one of my ships?" He asked. "Why would I do that when you have nothing to pay me?"

"I wasn't really asking," Kira said in a threatening tone of voice.

"Tell you what, Rey," Unkar said, now having a serious look on his face. "I'll give you a ship if you give me your droid. He's in prime condition and I wouldn't mind having a look at his parts."

BB-8 made a series of worried beeps as he looked at both Finn and Kira. Finn immediately shook his head. "No," he said. "The droid is not for sale. And we are not having you tear him into pieces for your own benefit."

"Fine then," Unkar said with a shrug. "No ship for you then."

Kira grew angry at him. First he had abused her as a child and now he was threatening to tear the most important droid in the galaxy right now into pieces. She reached into her belt and took out a dagger, holding it up to Unkar's neck. Finn stumbled back in shock at her action while gasps could be heard from the other scavengers.

"Don't you ever threaten the droid again," Kira sneered. "And don't call me Rey. You might not give us a ship, but we'll get our own. In the meantime, how about you stop hurting the scavengers here and start feeding them properly for once?"

"I'm not afraid of you," Unkar countered back. He didn't seem very intimidated by the knife at his throat, which only made Kira more angry.

"Trust me," she said. "You should be very afraid." Her eyes flashed yellow and red, which caused for Unkar to stumble back in fear. She smirked and walked away from the stand, Finn and BB-8 close behind her.

"What was that back there?!" Finn asked. "You could've killed him!"

"I know. And I really wanted to kill him," Kira said. "That's what happens when you are hurt for many years of your life for absolutely no reason whatsoever. You should feel the same way because of how you were hurt in the Stormtrooper program."

Finn sighed and looked at the ground. "I did want revenge," he said. "For a while. I wanted to make them pay for hurting me and sometimes I still do. But I was taught to control that anger I had towards the First Order. Of course, I still joined the Resistance to take it down, but not because of selfish revenge, Rey. I want to take it down because I don't want them hurting anyone anymore or abducting anymore kids to use in the Stormtrooper program."
