The Millennium Falcon flew over the familiar sands of Tatooine. A Sandcrawler was down below, filled with Jawas that watched the ship fly past them. It landed in front of a moisture farm that had been abandoned for over three decades. Out came Rey, Finn, Alinah, and Padmè, looking at the farm just up ahead. BB-8 and R2-D2 were with them, following them to the farm.

This was the Lars Family Homestead, where Luke Skywalker had grown up. The four walked to the entrance of the home, seeing that it had filled up with sand over the years. The garage next to it had worn down, but it was still standing. Vaporators were down below, rusted and dirtied up after not being tended to for so long. Rey grabbed a nearby metal panel, using it as a sled to get down the hole. She grinned as she slid, remembering her days on Jakku, but more fondly this time. Alinah soon followed her down, using another metal panel that was close by. Finn and Padmè decided to stay above, waiting for their friends.

Rey and Alinah looked around the homestead, seeing a room that looked like it used to be a dining room. Ashes surrounded the room, as the farm had been burned down the last time someone was there. The two of them could feel old, but familiar presences inside the farm. It felt like a home, a place where they could settle down and live a peaceful life. But they couldn't stay on the planet for long. Rey and Alinah turned to look at each other and nodded, Alinah grabbing a cloth that was nearby.

She laid the cloth on the dining table as Rey reached into her bag. She pulled out Leia's lightsaber and Luke's green lightsaber, which they had gone to retrieve on Ahch-To. The caretakers on the island had allowed them to take it so they could lay it to rest. Alinah took out Anakin's lightsaber, knowing it was time to let it go. They placed the three lightsabers onto the cloth and wrapped it up with a leather strap.

They went back up to Finn and Padmè, ready to do what they came to do. The four rested their hands on top of the wrapped up lightsabers, feeling their familiar energy for the last time. Rey then placed the cloth on the sand in front of them, kneeling down on one knee beside it. She closed her eyes and used the Force to sink the lightsabers into the sand. It descended deep, sand caving into the hole to keep them buried.

Rey opened her eyes and stared at the spot where the lightsabers used to lie. She then took a new lightsaber off her belt, one that she had made. She ignited the lightsaber, gazing over the yellow blade that extended out of the hilt. Finn put a hand over her shoulder, giving her a smile. Rey smiled back at him, taking his hand into hers.

The four Jedi looked up when they saw an old woman with an Etobi come up to them. There's been no one for so long," she said. "Who are you?"

Three of them knew their answers to that question. "I'm Finn," Finn replied.

"I'm Padmè Solo," Padmè told her.

"I'm Alinah Skywalker," Alinah answered.

The woman looked over at Rey, waiting for her answer. "I'm Rey," she finally said, but still sounded unsure about her answer.

Rey could see that the woman knew she hadn't said what her exact name was. "Rey who?" She asked.

Looking down, Rey pondered on her answer. She felt two presences nearby, looking to her right. There stood the Force ghosts of Luke and Leia. They smiled at her and nodded, giving her their permission. Alinah and Padmè smiled as well, nodding at her.

Rey had a genuine smile on her face and she nodded back at her mentors and friends. She looked back at the woman, knowing exactly how to answer her question. Finn gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, a warm smile spread across his face.

"Rey Skywalker," Rey told her.

R2-D2 and BB-8 joined the four in watching the twin suns rise over the planet. Over a new galaxy filled with peace and balance.

The Sith were no more and the Jedi would rise again in the name of the Skywalkers.
