Evangeline's P.O.V

"Eva, will you please take the kids inside so that I can show Mr. Valentino, those recent changes?" Anna insisted, making me nod my head like an obedient puppy as my mind was still so fogged at the sight of the handsome like a Greek god in front me watching me like a hawk not once looking away from my direction.

Even though his stare was making me uncomfortable, deep down I kind of like it and it's making me want to smack my head against the wall.

Gathering the kids that were sticking like bubble gum to Mr. Valentino, I led them inside ignoring my heated face and my racing heart. I don't get why I'm like this whenever he's around.

"Eva, why do we have to leave? Why can't we just stay with Abram?" Demi whined as she stomped her little foot, huffing.

"Because they have to discuss something which is very important," I replied bending down at her level, tucking her hair behind her ear when Angela suddenly launched herself at me making me fall to the floor with a thud.

Despite the pain shooting to my bottoms, I smiled and started to laugh along with them.

"I'm so sorry, Eva" she exclaimed, kissing me on my cheek. These kids are really so unpredictable. No one knows what's going inside their head. One minute they're all sweet and affectionate and the second all grumpy and moody.

"I'm hungry" Angela whined, making all the other kids agree with her. Bipolar much?

"Ok, do you guys want me to make you sandwiches?" I questioned them getting up from the floor, detaching Angela and other kids that were clinging on me.

"Yes!" They cheered following me to the kitchen.

As I made their sandwiches, cutting the crusts, someone clearing their throat made me jump in surprise.

I looked up to see Mr. Valentino in front of the counter watching for who knows how long. I didn't even hear him come inside.

"Do you need anything Mr. Valentino?" I questioned softly, trying my best not to stammer as I looked down at the sandwiches, not having any courage to meet his sharp eyes.

Eva, for the love of God, please just don't embarrass yourself. I'm begging you. Please.

"Yes, umm can I have a glass of water please?" He replied coming closer to where I was standing, making my knees weak and hands clammy.

"Yes, sure" I answered, taking a glass from the cupboard and filling it with water, feeling his stare on me the whole time even though I wasn't even facing him.

Handing him the glass, I tried my best to not touch his fingertips but failed miserably making me pull my hand away slyly as fast as a bolt and turning my back on him, continuing my work and expecting him to leave but, I was wrong.

"You can call me Abram, you know" he spoke out, placing the glass on the counter and stood tall in front of me with his arms crossed, making his muscles more evident, again watching me. I like the view.

This is too much attention for a day. I thought to myself as I tried to calm my anxiety.

"Y..yeah, I know" I replied, placing the sandwiches on the plate with my hands shaking.

"So, how long have you been working here, Evangeline?" He inquired.

Why can't you just leave me? I get that you're really handsome and can make feel things that I never felt before but what do you really want? I ranted to myself, wishing that I'm courageous enough to say it aloud to him, but sadly I'm only good at replying inside my head not in person.

He cleared his throat again, breaking me out of my thoughts. You need water for that throat, boy?

"Not very long. I joined two months ago" I replied, picking up the plate to give them to the kids but not before offering him some but he kindly refused.

As I headed towards the main room where the kids were, he suddenly came in front of me, blocking my way.

Frown formed on my face as I looked at him questioning, while my heart started to beat with excitement as well as anxiousness.

"Yes, Abram?" I asked softly, looking at his face from up close for the very first time.

I noticed that his eyes are not as dark as it seems from distance and how his lips are perfectly full and eyelashes long enough to make girls jealous. As for his sharp jaw, that got a very slight beard.

"Are you free tomorrow?" He questioned, while I stood there not having any answer.

"Umm, y..yeah" I stutter out, making his lips slightly lift up.

"Well, we can grab some lunch together, if you want" he added, waiting for my response with his eyebrow raised.

" Umm, sure" I replied, making him smirk a little bit. What the hell, Eva. Good job making yourself look so thirsty. You don't have self respect at all.

"Ok, that's great. I'll text you the address" he responded, placing a kiss on my cheek just like that night and again leaving towards the door with his friend, Sebestian who was already waiting for him outside.

What on earth did I just agree on? What happened to staying away from him? Great job, Eva. I thought to myself but couldn't ignore the excitement that was deep boiling down inside me.

I guess this is how it feels to have a teenage crush, huh.
