Evangeline's P.O.V
After my breakfast, I sneakily told my mother without my father on earshot that I would be going out with Abram which she squealed in excitement.
She's really happy for me and I could tell that.
"That's good, baby but be really careful. Once your father sees to hear about it then it's all over" she warned me, which still circled inside my head.
How long do we have to hide this relationship? How long till my father gets to know about it? How long do I have to lie?
After picking up my outfit, I started to get ready as simple as I can because I told Abram that I don't want to go to any fancy restaurant which he thankfully agreed.
I know that we're moving too fast but I can't let the time take over. After all, destiny's got everything is already planned out. We just have to move forward, which happily I'm doing because I'm done overthinking, done worrying because that's what love makes me feel.
It makes me feel fearless, alive and my heart to beat with passion but if you're not feeling that way, fall out. You're not in love.
After I finished getting ready, I picked my phone and my purse, last time checking myself on the mirror and decided to proceed downstairs.
Bidding my mother goodbye, I walked myself out of the door to see Rico right outside the gates talking with the guards.
I'll be meeting Abram at the park that's five minutes' walking distance from our house, which is very near so I wanted to walk myself there and also because I didn't want Rico to know because he'll surely insist to drive me, which I don't want because he'll see Abram waiting for me and because always got something say about Abram, which is slowly becoming tiring for me.
Striding towards the gate, the guards opened it for me to go through, while Rico looked at me confused.
"Where are you going, Eva?" He asked, following as I walked forward to my destination.
"Just for a walk" I answered, making him look at me suspiciously.
"Ok then, I'll go with you" He stated, while I turned my head to look at him.
"Thank you but I can go by myself, Rico" I replied, as I stopped on my track.
"In case, you forgot but I am your bodyguard, Eva. It's my job to look after you and to keep you safe" He exclaimed as I sigh trying to keep my cool.
"You don't have to be with me, Rico. I'll be fine" I demanded, while he looked taken aback from my behavior with him.
Leaving him alone, I continued walking as I was already late enough.
Reaching the park, I could already see Abram sitting at one of the benches so I decided to walk towards him and as if sensing my presence he glanced behind his shoulder.
Upon seeing me, a smile made its way on his face as he stood up and hugged me tightly.
"Hello" I greeted him which he responded by kissing me at the side of my mouth, making me blush at his sweet gesture.
"Where are we going?" I questioned him, while he led me further into the park, making me silently wonder what's going on inside his head.
"It's a surprise" he replied, smiling at me while his ears are turning red.
"Are you nervous, Abram?" I questioned, making him denied it but I could clearly tell by how his hands are shaking slightly and him rubbing his every while then that he's nervous.
"N..no, why would I be nervous," he asked me while I looked up to him.
" I don't know, you tell me" I mumbled when we came to an abrupt stop.
Being only 5'3, I couldn't see anything in front of me as Abram in his mighty 6'2 was right in front of my figure.
As he moved at the side, a gasp escaped from my lips at the sight in front of me.
A blanket was laid on the grass along with throw pillows and baskets full of food. We're now at the very edge of the park and there were fewer people here than at the front.
"You did all of this?" I asked with a huge smile on my face, while Abram on the other hand was flushed.
"My friends lent a hand" he replied as he pulled me into a hug, burying his face on my neck, hiding his red cheeks from me.
"I love it. It's much better than fancy restaurants" I added, as I caress his cheek.
Sitting down on the blanket, we kept on talking with one another, getting to know each other even more.
The more time, I spend with him, the deeper I get to know what's really hidden inside the real Abram Valentino.
He can be so sweet and scary at the same time. He can go from smiling at one second and scowling at the next.
I can tell how possessive he is whenever some other guy is staring at me and by the way he holds my waist whenever we walk, but mostly he's more than an arrogant billionaire that the media described in articles.
"How long do you plan to hide about me to your father?" He questioned, making me shrug my shoulders.
" I don't know, maybe when the right time comes?" I muttered making him nod his head when I remembered the first night I saw him, how my father was so cold with him and how he, later on, warned me to stay away from him.
"Abram what did happen between you and my father that he's telling me to stay away from you?" I inquired, making him turn his head to me so fast.
"Why do you ask, princess?" He questioned back.
" No, I was just wondering what actually happened," I answered, to which he just stayed silent.
"It's in the past now" He replied, leaving no room for further discussion.
I didn't know how long we were at the park but long enough to witness the sunset.
How's the story so far? Do let me know.
And how's quarantine going so far for you guys?😀💕💕♥️
