Chapter 55

Abram's P.O.V

As we reached my penthouse, I went straight to my study with the boys following close behind me to show me the pictures and the personal information of the guy who broke into the warehouse and made our weapons that cost millions to be seized by the authorities.

I don't really care about that money and weapons as we obviously can earn it again within hours but what making me lose my sh*t is how he did it without getting his ass caught and why would he even do such a thing?

Like what did I do? I'm just minding my sh*t, trying to do my job as quiet as I can, harming no one, but somehow he got to make me shed blood.

"Show me who the motherf*cker is" I exclaimed, taking a seat on my desk as Sebestian made the honor of giving me the file with a smirk on his face while Zack and Nicholas waited impatiently for my reaction.

Opening the file, I couldn't help but roll my eyes as it landed on the picture. I should have known it was him. The lover was upset because he got no chance with my girl.

"Rico, huh?" I spoke, making them nod their head, while I smirked evilly. You better get your @ss ready cause I'm coming for you, Rico.

"Where is he at the moment?" I questioned, with my hands already itching to lay my hands on him.

"About that. We got to tell you something" Zack stated, as I nod my head at him, urging him to continue.

" No, first of all, you got to promise to hold your sh*t together" he added, while I just frown at him.

" Cut the crap, man, just tell what is it" I exclaimed, not in the mood to wait any longer.

"The last time he was spotted was with your girl, the night you got arrested and the same night she went to the park that you guys were supposed to meet, but then you didn't show up. They were last seen in the airport," Sebestian reported, making me suck in a breath as my hands shook in anger as well as with fear.

Please, please God. Please tell me whatever I'm thinking is wrong. Please.

"So there's a very high possibility that he helped Evangeline to run away because there's no record or trace that they left behind, which I'm sure that Evangeline wouldn't be able to do if she were to run away by herself. That guy really knows what he's doing," Nicholas added, making me sigh as I rubbed my forehead trying to calm my anger down.

"Wait, she went to the park?" I questioned, making Zack nod his head in response while my heart clenched in guilt. She waited for me.

" So are you trying to say that they are together right now? If they are, how long would we have to wait till we completely track them down?" I questioned, while my hands shook beside me.

He better not be with my girl because if he is, I will kill him and that's for sure.

" We are still not sure if they are together. Give me a night. I'll figure it all out and then you can have your girl back," he added, making me nod my head. Can't wait for that.

"They may be together because he didn't hesitate to enter the warehouse and get my ass arrested. So, I don't see any reason for him to let go of the advantage to be with her," I explained, as I tried my best to contain my anger.

"Take rest, for now, Abram. You need it. We will figure it out. Don't worry" Sebestian stated, after a while as he pats me on my back as I got up to get to my room to freshen up and try to take a nap even though I know it would be impossible as my nightmares are back again, hunting me in my sleep.

Evangeline's P.O.V

Waking up in the late noon, Rico sitting on the chair at the corner of the room, staring at me, made me jump as my eyes landed on him.

My heart thumped hard into my chest as my breathing became hard. He scared me to hell.

What is he doing here? And why is he watching me sleep?

"Oh my god Rico! What are you doing here?" I exclaimed, placing my hand onto my beating chest.

While the other hand pulled the blanket up to cover my body as I felt uncomfortable at how weird he was staring at me.

"Why can't I see you now?" He inquired as he slowly got up from the chair, walking towards my bed while my anxiety went sky high.

Why is he behaving like this?

How I wish Adrian stayed back last night.

"That's not what I meant to say, Rico" I mumbled, watching him sit down beside me while he continued to stare at me, hard.

"What do you mean to say then, Evangeline?" He inquired once again, but no words came out of my mouth as he came leaning in closer to my face.

"I-I meant to say, do you need anything?" I stammered out when he suddenly held his hand up, caressing my cheek while I stared at him with my heart in my throat.

What is wrong with him, and what is he planning on doing? Whatever it is, I can feel that I won't like it.

I waited impatiently for him to take his hand away, but he only slid it down to the loose t-shirt that I was wearing, exposing my collarbone and my upper chest area.

My breath hitched as I stared back at him, utterly confused. I wanted to tell him to stop, but I was too petrified and frozen.

"Rico-" I stammered as I tried to back away from him but it only made him gripped my waist and leaned it even closer, kissing the side of my mouth, and just when I thought of jumping out of the bed away from him, looked like God heard my plea because Adrian coming up to my room, made Rico stood up from the bed and maintained a distance.

Adrian is currently staying at one hotel here and no matter how much I tell or force him to stay with us here, he just won't.

"Eva, you up?" Adrian exclaimed as he pulled the door of my room open and just when his eyes landed on Rico, a frown made his way on his face as he glared at him.

"What are you doing here?" He hissed at Rico as he strode in my direction, and sat beside me protectively while Rico jumped out of the bed, creating a distance between us.

"You alright?" He whispered into my ear while I just nodded my head in response.

" Can't I come and see how she's doing?" Rico answered as he turns to leave my room but not before sending a smirk into my direction, which made chills run down my spine.

What happened to him? Why is he behaving so weirdly?

"I swear, that butthole is so weird" Adrian exclaimed while I stayed silent, not knowing what to say as he was telling the truth after all.

"Leave that, get ready. We're going out today" Adrian stated, which made me widen my eyes at how excited he looks.

I stared at him with uncertainty and just when I opened my mouth to disagree, he whiffed his head.

"Don't even think of it" he snapped, which made me sigh.

Looks like I have no choice.
