Half an hour had passed of me playing beach volley ball with the girls. I was on a team with a blond girl and one with brown hair. Of course the black haired girl, Charlotte, insisted on having Ashton in her team along with another stunning blonde girl.

My patience was running dangerously low for Charlotte and Ashton. She kept hitting the ball full force at me. Of course it was an accident though... My ass. She just told Ashton that.

I got knocked to the ground by Charlotte smashing the ball at my face. I fell into the water, making my body, hair and face soaking with water. I looked at Ashton who was laughing along with Charlotte. I scowled at him and he laughed, "Rachel, don't be annoyed. It's a bit of fun. It wasn't on purpose."

I stood up. My blood was boiling; partly because I have been hit repeatedly by Charlotte, but because Ashton was laughing at me with her. I blew my top, shouting, "Don't dare tell me that you hitting me was just an 'accident'," Ashton stopped laughing and his face dropped as I continued yelling, "It's obvious that she likes you and you obviously like her. Maybe I should've just fucked Calum when I had the chance." He swallowed hard. I had hit the spot where it hurt him most but I didn't care. He's pushed me over the edge.

I yelled, "I've had enough of you. We have only been going out for a couple of weeks but you have driven me over the edge with your flirting." I sadly whispered, my voice cracking, "You've made me feel like shit," the tears started flowing, "I'm done with this. I'm done with you. And Ashton... I'm done with us."

I took off, running to the shore. I heard Ashton calling my name, "Rachel." I ignored him and kept running. I made my way through the beach, grabbing my clothes in the process. I saw Keith step out of his shack and say, "Rachel?"

I continued running until I came to a road filled with a row of shops. I entered the Starbucks and sat in a well hidden table near the back. I collapsed into the seat, resting my elbows on the table and burying my face in my hands.

I pulled out my phone. I didn't know who else to call. I clicked on the call button for Calum. After about three rings he picked up, "Rachel?"

"Calum," I whispered, my voice cracking.

"Rachel is this important? I'm currently shopping with my sister," he mumbled.

"No," I wiped the tears from under my eyes, "Will you be home later?"

"Yeah, I'm having a party actually," he chuckled, "You should come."

"I'll be there," I smiled, realising that I could be on the last day of my period that I'd had for the last like five days.

I walked into the toilet and changed into my clothes, hesitantly keeping Ashton's flannel on.

I threw my hair up in a messy ponytail before walking out. I stepped onto the street. I saw a train station sign around here earlier. I walked left down the road for a few minutes before I spotted the sign. I walked down towards the train station.

There was a guy standing in the shelter, roughly my age. He smiled at me as I stood about a metre away from him. I asked, "When's the next train to the outskirts of Sydney?"

"Ten minutes," he smiled. He reminded me of Jack. He had black hair and pale skin.

Half an hour later, I stepped off the train. It was only two o'clock but I decided to walk the short walk to Emma's.

**

She opened the door, her red hair was straight today. She smiled, "Hey. What brings you by?"

"I need to get ready for Calum's in here," I said.

"Come on then," she giggled. I walked in, closing the door and then walking up the stairs to her room.

I sat down on her bed and she sat at her makeup desk, applying foundation as she watched in the mirror.

"I need to look really good tonight," I sighed.

She looked at me in the mirror whilst she continued her makeup, "And what's this for? Sorry, my mistake. Who is this for?" She winked at me.

"I need to get Calum to sleep with me," I smirked.

She almost fell off her chair she swivelled so quickly. I squealed, "I knew it! Oh my god, this is so cute. He's totally into you." She jumped up and grabbed my arm, forcing me to sit in her previous spot at her desk. She smiled, "Let's make you look damn fine."

About two hours later, our hair was done and our makeup. She straightened my hair for me. She did a light smokey eye with rose gold undertones to make my hazel eyes pop. She did my eyebrows and cat eye the way i like them done. She lightly applied foundation and mascara. She painted my nails black to match my outfit that I was going to buy today. Last but not least she put an amazing lip stick on me. It was a dark nude but it looked amazing!

She had bronze toned eyeshadow beautifully applied to make her blue eyes pop. She had lightly filled in her eyebrows and applied mascara. She applied a nice matte red shade that matched her deep red hair.

She smiled, "all done. Now let's go get your outfit."

**
We had been walking around town for at least an hour. Everyone was wearing short dresses so I decided to look for the same thing. We were currently in topshop. I was trying on dresses.

I walked out in a black glitter dress that Emma picked. It was awful. I walked out with a straight face and said, "No way." I walked back in and began to change into the next one.

Emma said from the other side of the door, "We've been in here for ages, when are you going to find one that you like?"

I put the next one on. I walked out smiling. I loved it! It was a plain black dress that ended just below my bum. It was a tight bodycon dress, complimenting my body in a fabulous way. It had a low neck, showing off my boobs. The back of it was all cut out down until the bottom of my back. It was perfect.

Emma stood up smiling, "Yes. Oh my God yes."

"Definitely," I smiled.
