Just then, a hooked arm grabbed the Guina by the edge of its mouth. Max watched as Pops led it back into the cage. It was a real struggle though since the crazy young dragon wasn't ready at all to leave its temporary freedom and head back to its tiny enclosure. Shutting the door behind the beast, he looked over at the teens. All seemed pretty tired.
"I think I saw my whole life flash before my eyes..." Mel murmured. He and his friend Buddy were laying on the ground staring up at the sky. Nodding his head in agreement, Buddy muttered, "I'm too young to die." Gidget let out a sigh of relief since she was the only one who was still holding onto a shield. She put it down just as Daisy regained consciousness.
"Don't worry, that was just a young one. But you have to remember," Pops declared loud and clear. As he was saying this, he turned around slowly to face Max. The skinny teenager was still sitting on the ground, trying to catch his breath. The old blacksmith knelt down so they were eye to eye as he finished his sentence.
"A dragon will always go for the kill."
