Gasping, Max backed away from the dragon in fear. He was about to run back to the village to get help when he stopped. He didn't need help, he was a Viking. He could kill this beast by himself. Besides, he was lost. It was going to take him forever to get back to the village. He looked over at the dragon, his small knife clutched firmly in his hand.

There was no turning back.

Cautiously approaching the downed dragon, Max grasped his knife in both hands. Holding it with the blade down, he muttered, "I'm gonna kill you dragon. I'm gonna kill you and bring your heart to my father. Cuz I am a Viking!" Those words were supposed to give him the little bit of inspiration he needed. However, he just got more nervous. And it sure didn't help with the dragon looking up at him with those big blue eyes filled with...

...fear?

Gritting his teeth, Max tried his best not to pay attention to the dragon. But it was like those big bright blue eyes were burning into his soul. It made him feel uncomfortable. His palms were now sweaty and his legs started to quiver. The teen was the one who was afraid now. He held the knife above his head, ready to kill the Rabbu. However, he slowly lowered it. His heart was no longer set upon killing the beast. Glancing over at the damaged tail, he mumbled, "This is all my fault."

And he was gonna fix it.

Taking his knife, Max began sawing through the ropes that kept the white dragon tied up. The Rabbu must've noticed this cuz it was now beginning to move. "Hang on there, I'm almost done-" Max tried to calm the creature down. But it paid no heed to his words. Spreading its wings, it broke free from the last of the ropes. Standing up tall, the dragon arched its back and roared at the young Viking before racing off into the forest.

Scared to death, Max collapsed onto the forest floor and fainted.
