True mate

Chapter 17

I woke up in the afternoon next to my main mate. His arms around me, squeezing me tight like I was going to vanish. I stare at his sleeping self and admire how his face looks like a puppy in the summer grass. I kissed his lips to have him wake up. He responded instantly and pulled away, "You know that's dangerous to so that to me."

"I like danger though." I say pouting a little.

"I know and I'm afraid that you are going to get hurt because of danger." He says sternly towards me.

"I love you." I say snuggling into his chest.

"I love you too, Alice." there was a knock at the door and I got into a tee-shirt while Ash answered the door. "Hello, Alec. May I help you with something?"

"No but Alice can." I hear Alec say at the door.

I pull on some pants and walk over to him to see what he wants to know. I was grabbed and dragged into Ash's chest. "Alec, what's going on?" worry lacing all over my voice.

"Your family. They're here." I walked with them down the steps only to see my twin sitting on the couch and my mom and dad on either side of her.

I cleared my throat and they all turned around and then I noticed Shade in the corner with another she-wolf named Rembie. "What are you doing on clan territory?" my face staying blank and Ashton behind me hugging me.

"We were worried about you." My mother stood up.I snorted and already wanted to leave. Shade comes over to me and Ashton.

"Alice..." before he could say one more word Ashton was on top of him ready to punch him. I shrugged and leaned on the wall.

"How dare you say her beautiful name!" Ashton shouts at him, "You hurt her when she was your mate." punch "You said you loved her only to hurt her more!" punch, "How could you do that to her you peice of shit!" Punch, Before Ash could punch him anymore Alec pulled him off of Shade who now has a bloody noise.

"This isn't helping the situation, Ashton." Alec addressed him, "And you," he points at me, "Need to keep your mate under control when we have visiters." I roll my eyes and grab Ashton's hand only to have him be ripped away from me by non other than Shade.

I turn around instantly only to see Shade about to stab him, "Shade, I swear that I will kill you if you kill him. Drop the damn knife!" I say in my luna tone and he drops the knife and also drops to the ground. I run over to Ashton and hug him tight, "Are you alright?" he nods and I breath a sigh of relief.

I was going over to the door to go outside and get away. "We are going out!" I yell at them and storm out of the house.
