True mate

Chapter 9

I saw Blake with Derrick next to him. I wanted to smack myself for not warning him that I was getting married, I mean Derrick not Blake. I look at Shade in shock.

"Put me down, Shade." He nods and puts me down on my two feet, maybe it wasn't the best idea cause I started to fall. Kim starts to growl Why is he here?

Well maybe if you spoke to me you would know that we would tomorrow.

Well what is he doing here today when our mate is supposed to mark us today?

I do not know. "What the hell is he doing here?" I point at Blake and look at Shade.

"He wanted to congratulate us getting married." Shade says pulling me towards him in a protective manner and also so I would't fall, "Baby girl are you okay?" He whispers in my ear.

"Not particularly."

Blake looks confused he held his hand out for Shade to shake and me as well. "Hello, I'm Alpha Blake of the Midnight Light pack and this is my Beta Derick and I'm guessing you two are the Alpha and the Luna Royal who just got married?"

"Yes we are." Shade says to him, "I'm Alpha Shade and this is my mate and new bride, Alice." They shake hands and Blake and Derick try to shake my hand but Shade growled at them.

"Shade, I need to talk to you alone." I say kissing his neck near his ear. He nods and follows me into the study I lean against his desk. Once the doors were closed I say to him coolly, "Why didn't you tell me that they were coming here?"

"I didn't want to worry you, they wanted to come get us so we weren't seen as rouges."

"Okay but warning would have been better than non at all this was a bad surprise."

He walks towards me and pulls me into a hug, "I'm so sorry, Alice, I thought you would be okay with it since you're with me now."

"Yes but they did terrible things to me and treated me like dirt except Derick and Tommy."

"Derick? The Beta?" Shade raises on eye brow. I roll my eyes.

"Yes that's the one, why?"

"Because that would have been nice to know." We heard a soft knock at the door. "Yes?"

Andy comes in and sees that I'm being hugged, "Sorry to interrupt, but Alpha Blake is getting impatient."

"We'll be out in a second, Andy." I mumble through Shade's shirt and muscles.

"Okay, I want no mating in this office because it was dad's and I like being in here." Shade laughs silently and I can feel him laughing.

"We won't just go and get the reception started okay?" Shade responds

"Fine." Andy stops out of the room and slams the door.

"I love her." I tell Shade.

"I would hope so because you're stuck with her as your sister in law." We laugh hard and then he ask me, "Are you ready to go meet the rest of the Alphas?" 

"No." I look up into his eyes and then I'm in a world of heaven; his lips crash down on mine, he seems hungry for me, all of me just like I'm hungry to feel every muscle that is under his cloths. 

He break apart, "How about now?" I nod and he slings his arm over my shoulder and leads me out to where the reception is being held. I meet the Alphas of every pack that came to the wedding. One of the Alphas is a women and very beautiful. She told me that she doesn't need to have a man to lead her pack. Just when we are talking and laughing you can hear a growl of mate. 

I look over my shoulder and see Derick looking at the Alpha female, who is named Lacy, with lustful eyes. I smile and I can see her shock on her face. "Would you like to meet your mate?"

She nodded, "Who is he? And what is his rank?"

"His name is Derick and he is the Beta of Midnight Light pack." Once I said that Derick was right besides her protective. "Damn Derick I didn't know you were possessive especially since we were close but not as close as a mate though." 

His head shot towards me, "Rebecca?" he gasps.

"Well now it's Alice and yes it's me."

"How? Tommy said that you were dead."

"I'm not dead he just wanted to say that so no one would look for me." He engulfed me into a hug and I went stiff knowing that Shade wouldn't like this and sure enough I heard his sexy growl mixed in with Lacy's.

He let go of me because he knew he crossed a line, "Sorry."

"It's okay, just don't do that again please." Shade comes over and pulls me by my waist into him.

"I won't besides I would never do that to my mate." Derick backs towards Lucy.

"So congratulations to the both of you but you're a Beta and your pack needs you just like Lucy's needs her."

"The third in command will take over the Beta position." Shade whispers into my ear making me fell faint. "You want to Dance?" I nod and he takes me to the dance floor.

We dance formally but closer than everyone else and I felt like I was on my own planet with Shade and only Shade. We danced for what seemed like minutes but it was several hours. "Alice?" Andy and Miranda call my name.

"Yeah?"

"The party's over you guys can finish what ever you two were doing in dad's office in your guys room." Miranda giggles.

Shade growls while his cheeks turned pink in embarrassment; I groan and glare at the two giggling girls. "Oh how this is going to fun." I rub my hands together and tackle them to the ground in one leap while they just scream.

"Get off!"

"No."

"Why?"

"You disrespected me and Shade."

"We're sorry. Get off!" before I could answer I was getting dragged off of them by Shade and dragged inside.

"Shade, I wanted to get back at them!" Frustration wells up in me.

"You can but right now I want, no, I need to mark you."

"Why?"

"All those unmated wolves were staring at you like you were a piece of meat."

"Oh, I didn't notice, baby. All I could really focus on was you." I say suductively and so the fun begins
