"Marry her," my father commanded, smacking the file on his desk, "It's the only way."

"No, it's not!" I yelled back, not relenting. This wasn't like him, he had always let me do as I please and always listened to my opinion.

"Look at me! She already got hurt! She was nearly kidnapped for God's sake! What do you think that witch will do next?!" my father warned. Thinking about what happened in the last few hours made my jaw clench.

"I know what happened to her, but are you saying we're weaker than The Order? Isn't Nightingale supposed to be superior to the rest of this world?!" I yelled, fuming. There's no way I was giving up, not now. Not when I knew it would hurt her so much. I love her, and I was not going to give up on that. "Father, I will not marry her. She is a liar, a good for nothing spoiled piece of filth!"

"And I know that! Do you think I want you to marry something like her?! But you don't have a choice. I understand how you feel about that lovely girl, but if you want to protect her, this is what you must do." I stared at the file in front of me, the wedding contract to be precise. If I signed this, it would mean The Order would leave her alone, that'd she be safe, but then she'd never be happy. We would never be happy.

"You're telling me, that if this was mother, this is what you would do? Marry yourself off?" Silence. My father didn't say anything. "I will find a way. I promise," I said, determined. My father sighed and collapsed in his seat.

"Okay son, I trust you." With a nod, I storm out of the office, one thought in my head.

Jeong Eunah, I'm gonna fucking kill you.
