Seoyoung's POV
I was in awe by the amount of people in the room, all wearing gorgeous gowns and suits. It suddenly made me feel quite small next to Taehyung. After all, all the men and women looked strong and capable, not to mention they were able to create their own something great. Rather than going around to mingle, Taehyung held a firm grip on my waist and made our way through the crowd, making a beeline to a glass room at the top of a railed off staircase. It was the VVIP section. However, we did not need to show any sort of identification as the security guards seemed to know Taehyung, giving him a smile and bro handshake before opening the gates. Taehyung must've come here a lot. Carefully, we made our way up the stairs very slowly (credit to my hell heels) and made it to the glass doors.
"Ah! Our precious little Taehyungie!" a man with the broadest shoulders I've ever seen exclaimed, opening his arms and engulfing Taehyung in a big hug. Even Taehyung looked quite mediocre next to the large man. Not only did he have broad shoulders, but he was also remarkably tall.
"Hyung! I am so glad you invited us this year... Again!" Taehyung said, making sure his dislike for parties was also conveyed. Seokjin merely laughs and hands him a drink, then notices me.
"Ah! This must be the beautiful wife! A pleasure to meet you!" he said, coming over to me and also giving me a big hug. Even his presence was very loud but in a pleasant way. It made any sort of awkwardness fade away. "I'm Kim Seokjin, leader of Calamity, Taehyung's best friend of uhhh, I don't know how many years." I smile and introduce myself.
"I'm Moon- Kim Seoyoung," I say, correcting myself and feeling all bubbly inside. This was the first time I had used my new surname, and I blushed thinking about the fact that I'm actually married now, "Taehyung's wife." I see Taehyung look down, hiding his face with what I know would be a big grin on his face. Surveying the room, I recognized a familiar face. Namjoon was here. I gave him a small wave, of which he returned with a dimple-full smile.
"Ah! Introductions. Well, you've obviously met Namjoon, so there's no need for that. Guys, introduce yourselves," Taehyung said, casting a look at two other men sitting on the corner sofa. One was drinking a glass of liquor while the other looked visibly excited. Yet, I felt like I'd seen them before.
"Oh my gosh! You're the Seoyoung! Ugh, I've been dying to properly meet you," the radiant man said. That smile and contagious energy... Oh! That's the guy who was a really good dancer at our wedding! The other guy with black hair must have also been present then too! "I'm Jung Hoseok, but you can just call me Hobi." As he said this, he gave me a tight hug, of which Taehyung had to get in between.
"Yah! Hands off my wife!" Taehyung said with a pout. Hobi merely laughs and goes over to the man pouring another glass of liquor and prods him.
"Hyung..." he whispers. He suddenly glances up from his cup and places the bottle down.
"Ah, right. Sorry. Name's Min Yoongi, a pleasure to meet you," he says cordially, going for a firm handshake. Business guy huh. Different from the guy going crazy at the wedding.
"Yeah, nice to meet you too, Yoongi," I say. He just nods and raises his glass in acknowledgment.
"Okay! Well, now that you know everyone, let's get the party started!" And like hell we did. After a few drinks and karaoke, everyone seemed to start letting loose. Seokjin was louder than ever, so was Hobi. Yoongi actually started screaming to one of the songs, and both he and Taehyung were dancing hard to what was supposed to be a sad song. Namjoon also held a microphone, yelling into it when it was his turn and jumping on the balls of his feet. I had also gotten rid of my hairstyle because of all the headbanging I'd been doing. It seemed to never end. I thought this was supposed to be some sort of rich person gala? Not a crazy karaoke session? If Taehyung had told me we didn't need to look so formal, I would've just shown up in some sweats and taken the back door. Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly had the urge to pee (I had had quite a few drinks).
"Hey Tae," I said, tapping him on the shoulder.
"Yeah babe?!" he yelled back loudly over the music (also because he was half deaf now).
"I'm gonna use the washroom!"
"Okay! There's one just around the corner when you go down the stairs!" Nodding, I left him to continue ripping his vocal cords out. I found my way back to the glass doors and made sure to fix myself before going back down (although no one was paying us the slightest attention). I walked down the stairs, scanning the people below me, then chuckled.
I could now tell that at least all the women were putting on shows. Their backs looked strained along with their smiles and their feet were red and tired. They weren't used to this lifestyle either. Glad to be up in a comfortable glass room with couches and no fucks about appearance, I made my way down the stairs and around the corner, just as Taehyung said. There was the women's washroom, looking as grand as ever. Walking in, I gaped at the luxury.
The sinks were deep with LED lights all around, changing to different colours. There were even mini chandeliers in each stall. I was about to go into a stall but decided to see how dishevelled I look. Turning around, I looked in the mirror and nearly screamed, but not because of how shitty I looked.
There was a masked man, dressed in all black staring right back at me. The last thing I heard was my own scream before the brightly lit washroom faded from my vision.
