Seoyoung's POV

Yesterday's shopping trip was the absolute best. We went to one of Seoul's largest malls and spent the entire day there. We first went shopping for our outfits tomorrow night, but also ended up buying a ton more once we decided it looked too good to leave. Then we went shopping for matching jewelry, accessories and shoes. After business was dealt with, we decided to have lunch at a small cafe (much to Taehyung's dismay as he wanted to take me to a fancy restaurant but I was craving donuts) and enjoyed coffee, soup, sandwiches and maple donuts. Once our stomachs were full, we noticed there was an indoor skating rink and decided to go skating. I had never been on ice, for one, and it took a lot of Taehyung's aegyo (which was actually adorable) to get me to go with him. Taehyung himself was a graceful skater, smoothly making his way across the ice. I, however, shifted along on the perimeters of the rink, clutching onto the boards as I attempted to 'skate.'

"C'mon princess," Taehyug had said, offering me his cold hands, "I'll teach you how to skate." Sliding and skidding, I finally got the hang of it and was able to skate on my own, but obviously not at Taehyung's level. He was light on his feet, knowing the ice like it was ground. It was wonderful to see a huge smile on Taehyung's face. I took note to go skating more often, even if it greatly vexed me, but all of that is forgotten when I see the sheer joy on his face.

The night ended in a spacious limousine that had been turned into a tiny party bus. We drank, danced and sang soulfully to our favourite OSTs (Even a song 'Even If I Die It's You' he and his friend made for a drama he starred in) as a playful karaoke session.

Right now, it was time for the gala. I'm standing in front of the mirror, gazing at my reflection, making sure everything was in place. I wanted to look perfect for the gala, for there's going to be many powerful prestigious people there and I wanted Taehyung to be proud of who was by his side. I wanted to look desirable to them, at least I think that's what would boost Taehyung's name, no?

I was wearing a long red silk dress that was tight till the waist but flowed out considerably at the hips. The gown was floor length and had an illusion with elegant red designs to resemble a red classic necklace, the designs running down the arms as well. (A/n: Picture at the top) To top it off, matching gold-encrusted drop earrings dangled from my earlobes along with a golden leaf ear crawler that made its way up my ear. I decided not to wear any bracelets as I found they got caught in too many places and adorned my fingers with rings instead. Most of them were thin golden rings with rubies and diamonds and also consisted of my wedding ring, but I was also wearing a special ring Taehyung had gifted me. It was a golden ring with a small crest of a tiny nightingale. He said everyone important to him and the gang had one, but all had unique stones. For example, my nightingale was blood ruby, to match his. Jimin's was black for he is of strong and brave stature, but Jungkook's is blue, signifying his caring and talkative nature.

A light knock on the door made me turn around.

"Yes?" I answer. Taehyung opens the door, revealing himself in a unique black suit. The suit was black but was also shining as it was made of silk. He wore a red tie that matched the colour of my dress and gold earrings. His new blond hair colour was an added bonus to the outfit. The twin crest ring was also on his finger, along with his wedding ring. His Louis Vuitton leather loafers were shined to reflect and emitted a light 'tap tap' whenever he walked.

"You ready?"

"Yep, let's go." Picking up my own glittering golden heels and silk clutch back, I hooked my arm in his and made my way down. It was a warm summer night, so we didn't need to hassle ourselves with any outerwear. We got into the limousine (which looked cleaner than usual) and headed off to the venue. It was supposed to be at some millionaire's house who hosted the party every year. Apparently, this man was a close friend of Taehyung's too. Some guy named Kim Seokjin, the same person he made that OST with.

We drove for a few minutes before arriving in front of a magnificent mansion that looked more like a palace. A large water fountain shot fireworks of water into the sky as coloured lights danced around, making the water sparkle different colours, like rainbows. The fountain sat on top of a large circular stone patio that has a path to a huge glass car garage. Once we showed our invitation and were ID'd, security opened the gates and we drove around the fountain, stopping in front of the grand double doors. Unlike Taehyung's place, Seokjin's house was beyond modern, everything a shade of black or white or just pure glass, nothing resembled that of an ancient fairytale palace. The mansion was more square than rounded or pointed, the roof being flat, full of people surrounded by a glass railing.

Taehyung helped me out of the car, and up the steps to the large door. Another set of security guards checked our identities yet again then let us through. We had to go through more security, checking for weapons in our possessions and on our person. After we were cleared, the man leads us through the doors, telling us to enjoy the party before flinging us into the loud crowd of dancing bodies.
