Promise By The Ferris Wheel (N x Reader)

Part 13: Celestial Tower

 You have to walk a bit past town before reaching the tall tower made of weathered stone.

The entire place gives off eerie vibes, like something is watching you. A few Yamask float around, as well as a Cofagrigus. A group of Litwick are sitting in a circle, chattering about something.

"My brethren!" Lampent says, greeting them. She comes back to your side. "Ha. That was cool."

Zoroark snickers and he and Lampent run ahead up the tall, winding stairs.

"Not so fast!" N calls. "I don't want you to trip."

You start up the stairs alongside him.

"It's a fairly long staircase, so we'll take breaks when we need to."

Along the way, on the third floor, a little girl is crying.

"What's the matter?" you ask, crouching down to her level.

She wipes her eyes before speaking. "A-a few months ago, me and my Lillipup got in a fight with Team Plasma."

N stops at this.

"They attacked it really bad in order to steal it from me." She lets out a sob. "And I couldn't get to the Pokémon Center in time!"

You give her a small pat on the shoulder.

"S-so I wanted to come up here and ring the bell for Lillipup, b-but...I'm scared... What if it's mad at me?"

N kneels down beside her. "Don't worry. I'm sure your Lillipup isn't mad at you. It'll understand you tried to save it."

"Y-you think so?"

"Of course I do!" He gives her a pat on the head. "Tell you what, if you're scared, Y/N and I can ring the bell for you."

She gives a weak smile. "Thank you mister! And you," She hands you a black stone with purple swirling around inside it. "this is a Dusk Stone. I found this here, but you'd have better use for it since you have a Lampent!" She nods and heads down the stairs.

"What do I do with this?" you ask, holding the Dusk Stone in front of you.

"If you give it to Lampent, she'll evolve," N tells you. "I'd suggest waiting a bit, since she just evolved recently."

"Yeah! I wanna be Lampent for awhile!" Lampent squeals, flying around in spirals.

"Well I can't argue with that!" You give her a little pat and continue up the stairs.

Time skip- you make it to the top of the tower

The air seems thinner, and you can feel the clouds gliding across your skin as you walk. It's hard to see, but the top of Celestial Tower has an altar with a large golden bell.

"This is it," N says. He walks up to the bell and traces his fingers over it.

You come up beside him and repeat his actions.

"This is for all the Pokémon I wasn't able to save... I'm sorry," he whispers.

"And this is for that girl's Lillipup."

The two of you nod at each other and push the bell with a heave.

Its pure chiming sound feels like it could echo all the way back to Accumula Town.

As the sound slowly fades away, N sighs. "That should do it. Y/N, thank you for coming up here with me."
