Time skip you make it all the way through Twist Mountain to Icirrus City

N doubles over, panting. "I think we're safe now."

Zoroark falls over, Lampent beside him.

"Get up buddy, it's only a matter of time until-"

A chime goes through the air. Only you and N seem to be able to hear it.

"What was that?" Lampent asks.

"It came from Dragonspiral Tower," N says. He looks up at a tall stone tower on the horizon. "But why..?"

A shiver goes through you, but it isn't because of the snowflakes drifting through the air.

"Hey! Y/N!" someone calls.

N looks away from the tower. "You're popular today."

Burgh runs up to you. "I figured we'd meet again! How's it going, kiddo?" He notices N. "Ooh, is this the boyfriend???"

N chuckles while you turn bright red. He takes your hand. "I guess you could say that. I'm N, and you are?"

"I'm Burgh, the Castelia City Gym Leader!" He shakes N's free hand. "I'm here in Icirrus City to visit a lover of my own!"

Lampent floats over to him as a greeting.

"Wow, you've evolved! I reckon you're even stronger than before!"

She flexes her arm-things with a confident chirp.

Burgh laughs at that, then turns back to N. "Hmm, good choice Y/N. And remember N, if you hurt them, I'm coming for you." With a cheerful smile, he runs off.

"Well." N looks behind him at the exit of Twist Mountain. "I'm sure that group of nice people won't be able to hold Ghetsis back for too long, so we should try to keep going."

You're half zoned out, and you hear Zekrom's voice.

"Come to me, child!"

That snaps you out of your thoughts.

"Y/N? Is something wrong?" N asks.

"I think we should go to Dragonspiral Tower," you tell him.

"All the way up there? So I suppose you felt something there too..."

"Then let's go!" Zoroark barks. He runs up ahead, followed by Lampent.

N sighs. "He doesn't waste any time, now does he?" He squeezes your hand. "Shall we?"

Between Icirrus City and the tower is a short forest path filled with an abundance of different Pokémon. Lampent greets almost all of them, which adds an extra ten minutes to every few steps.

You approach a long obsidian bridge leading into the tower that looks to be old as time itself.

"D'you think it'll collapse on us?" Lampent asks, hovering near the entrance.

"It won't," N tells her reassuringly. "Despite how it looks, this tower is the most sturdy in Unova."

"Then what are we waiting for? This place looks cool!"

Inside, N takes your hand again. "This place is the home to many ancient Pokémon. There are also dragon-types to be found." He points at a Druddigon who hasn't noticed you. "And see there? I learned as a child Druddigon won't act aggressively unless you make eye contact. So try to keep your gaze down when you see one."

You nod, quickly staring at the ground when Druddigon looks up.

A tremor goes through the tower.

"What was that?!" Zoroark shifts into a battle stance.

"Maybe this place is going to fall apart!" Lampent hides behind you.

"Hurry up!"

That voice came from the top of the tower.

You remember what Zekrom had told you in the dream.

"There will come a day very soon where Reshiram and I will be summoned into this world once again."

"N," you say. "The top of the tower!"

He seems to understand. "Let's go!

Up several flights of winding stairs and around many corners, the entire tower begins to shake.

"Watch out!" Zoroark leaps forward and deflects a piece of falling debris with fury swipes. "Let's hurry."

N grabs your hand and runs after Zoroark, Lampent following close behind.

She lets out a "Pwah!" as she shoots out an ember to keep crumbling rocks out of the way.

At last, you're nearly blinded by the sky above you when you emerge out the top of the tower. The grey clouds swirl above you, and you nearly scream at the sight.

Zekrom and Reshiram are there, staring at each other silently. They slowly turn towards you and N.

"No way," N whispers, subconsciously holding your hand tighter.

Zekrom glares down at you.

Well, maybe it wasn't a glare. It's hard to tell with his face.

"Reshiram, Zekrom, why are you here..?" N asks, voice breaking.

"This is the beginning of a new legend. It does not concern you as of now," Reshiram says.

You look up at Zekrom, Lampent wobbling at your side.

"I can't hold my form for much longer, neither can Reshiram," Zekrom tells you. "We will return to our previous forms as the Dark Stone and Light Stone."

"Then, why are you out now?" N begins to tremble, until Zoroark nuzzles his hand.

"Our seals have weakened, but they grow stronger as we speak. This generation's Heroes will come and break the seal again."

N steps forward. "Reshiram...what do you-"

The area around Zekrom's feet surges with electricity.

"You dare approach us, human? Get back now."

He doesn't falter.

"Listen, human, there is very little stopping me from killing you. Know your place."

"N, listen to him," you say.

"It is just as that one has said. Return down the tower and forget you saw us here." Reshiram jerks her head to the side, as an obvious indication you two are not wanted there.

Zoroark slowly steps in front of his trainer. "Hey. Let's go."

He is seemingly snapped out of a trance. "Y-you're right. I'm...sorry." He swiftly turns around, grabbing your arm in the process, and starts heading back down the tower.

"This isn't the end, child," Zekrom tells you.

You seem to be the only one who hears.

A/N: Oof I'm sorry this chapter was really short. But we're slowly approaching the climax!!! What could that possibly mean?!?!?!
