When I went to a party with my best friend, I thought it would be normal. I didn't know my life would change because of that party. I didn't know I was going to fall in love to someone who I'd never thought I'd meet.
"I share A Thousand Good Times...
I looked down at the sparkling diamond ring in my hand.
"This is really happening." I thought to myself. Ash went to the doctors today to get a check up on the baby. Our baby. The whole house was dimmed with candles and roses everywhere. I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure I looked my best for Ash. I sighed and looked down at Walter who I put a bow tie on.
"It's now or never." I said to him. I paced back and forth in the house, listening to my own shoes click on the hardwood floors.
"Jesus Christ." I mumbled while wiping my face off. Why is this so hard for me? I love her more then anything and she's carrying my baby. Maybe she won't feel the same way? No stop who am I kidding? I love her and I'm 99% sure she feels the exact same way as I feel about her. Maybe this is too soon for us? I mean we've been dating for 2 years and she's stood by my side...
"Oh my god..." I mumbled.
"She does feel the same way..."
I heard the engine of her Rolls Royce pull into the garage. The engine stopped and the door opened and shut. Before Ash could see the rest of the house I met her in the garage.
"Hey babe! How'd the doctors go?" I asked nervously.
"It went great actually. In a few weeks well be able to know the gender and we can go back next week to hear the baby's heartbeat!" she said happily.
I pulled her into a hug.
"That's amazing baby..." I whispered to her. We broke our hug and we walked into the house. Ash gasped at the sight of the roses and candles.
"Baby what is all of this?" she asked surprised.
"Ashlyn Adams... I have loved you ever since the day I met you." I said, grabbing her hands.
"You have made me the happiest man that has probably ever lived. Your carrying our baby and you are taking great care of them. I love you so much so that why..."
I dropped to one knee and pulled out the ring from my pocket. Ash became teary eyed and put one of her hands over her mouth.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you..."
"Oh my god Austin..." Ash whispered.
"Will you marry me?"
Silence stood over the room for a second. Ash began shaking her head up and down and I placed the ring on her finger, got up and we kissed and held each other in our arms.
"I love you so much Ashlyn..." I said
"I love you too Austin." Ash replied.
"Ashlyn Post." I mumbled. She laughed.
"Yea." she said looking at me.
"Ashlyn Post..."
