When I went to a party with my best friend, I thought it would be normal. I didn't know my life would change because of that party. I didn't know I was going to fall in love to someone who I'd never thought I'd meet.
"I share A Thousand Good Times...
"So about your present, I got you-" Austin cut me off.
"No don't tell me yet. It's only 12:09. I still have a whole day to look forward too." He said with an eye roll.
"Ugh fine." I said in annoyance. I could tell that Austin loved birthday's but hated his own. I wonder what he's going to do for my birthday. My birthday is September 10th. I was supposed to be born on Labor Day but I was late by a few days obviously. I my family used to light off fireworks on my birthday, but after my mom died the rest of my family stopped. It was Mom's idea to anyway. I think my other family members thought it would hurt me to do something without Mom, so we stopped. When I moved, me and Ava would light lanterns and send them up. I always attached a note to it, telling Mom how my life was with her gone. I miss her so much. I keep thinking about her and wanting to cry. The woman I love is gone, and there's nothing I can do to bring her back.
"Ashlyn." Austin said in a sharp tone. I snapped out of my thoughts of Mom and looked at Austin. He looked done with tonight.
"Lets get outta here. I'm getting annoyed." he said in a hush tone. We paid for our drinks and walked out of the bar. Austin interlocked his fingers with mine as we walked. I looked up at the stars and let my mind wonder. I love the night sky. It's so dark, so mysterious, so cold. Austin looked at me and laughed. I looked up at him smiling at me.
"What?" I laughed.
"You know, you are more beautiful then all of those stars." Austin said. I could feel my face turn red. I walked closer to Austin and kissed him on the cheek. We got to the hotel room and I decided to take a picture.

I laughed at Ava. She has been calling Austin dad for a few weeks now because he has been treating her like a child. It was so funny so see them be stupid with each other. I changed my clothes and went to bed. I lied awake for awhile until Austin came in.
"I thought you went to bed like 2 hours ago..." Austin said.
"Yeah I couldn't sleep." I said. I didn't want Austin to know I basically couldn't sleep without him holding onto me. But I knew he would figure it out sooner or later.
"I'm guessing you cant sleep without me huh?" he said. I smiled, hiding my face into my pillow. Austin crashed down next to me, only wearing a pair of joggers. He grabbed my hands and pulled them away from my face, making me look straight at him.
"It's okay baby, I can't sleep without you either." He said pulling me an inch away from his face. I studied his face, as he did mine. He pulled the hair out of my face, bit his lip, then kissed me. I kissed back and we stayed like that for awhile. We pulled apart, breathless, and stared at each others eyes. Gosh I love those eyes. I rested my head back down on my pillow and felt Austin's strong arms wrap around me. I closed the space between us, putting my head over his heart. I listened to the sound of Austin's heartbeat, wishing we could stay like this forever.
---Time Skip---
We just landed back in California, and I was tired. I just wanted to chill out for a second, but I have to be an understanding and supporting girlfriend, so that's not gonna happen. Austin wanted to go drinking for his birthday, wanting everyone to get fucked up. The last time I got super drunk was when I met Austin. I decided to tell Austin what I got him for his birthday on our lunch date. I got ready, wearing Austin's 'Zombies' jacket that the wore when shooting the music video for Goodbyes, and a black shirt dress with heels. I'm going to point out, I'm tall af. Austin is 6 foot tall while I'm 5'8. Austin was only 4 inches taller then me but I didn't care. He didn't pull short jokes so we were okay.
We walked into the restaurant, holding hands and having a lady escort us to our table. We thanked her and began to look at our menus.
"Can I give you your birthday present nowwwwwwww?" I asked.
"Fine." Austin said leaning back from the table crossing his arms.
"I got us tickets to Bora Bora in August. It's a week long trip and I found a shit ton of cool stuff for us to do." I said. Austin looked at me, his face lit up. I guess he liked it.
"Oh my fucking god. I can't thank you enough. Your getting the shit fucked outta you for this." Austin said. I laughed and blushed, but Austin was being serious.
The waitress came to get our drinks. I mentally thanked her for coming because Austin kept staring at me. I ordered a Dr.Pepper being the most basic person I am and Austin got a water. As the waitress walked away, Austin reached his hand over the table wanting mine. I reached for him and he laced our hands together, then placing a kiss on top of mine. I smiled and looked away. Austin just kept staring at me, like I was the most beautiful thing he has ever seen in his life.
