Practice initially finished at around 2pm, but we continued to stay in till 5pm, mostly because we wanted to mess around in the gymnasium. Some of the third years even stayed behind for a bit with us for once (but most of the team left around 4). I believe it's because they only got around 2 weeks left before graduation, they must all be trying to make the most of what we have left as a team.Honestly, I was a little heartbroken.
"Pfft Tsumu try not to cry will ya?" My brother snorts, Suna also snickers quietly behind him.
"Huh?!" I sniffle quickly and wipe my eyes with my sleeve, "I ain't cryin' shut it!"
He laughs, not believing my terrible lies a single bit.
"It's okay to cry sometimes," I felt a hand on shoulder suddenly, "It's no big deal to express your feelings. We will also miss you guys too."
I sniffle again, trying really hard to hold back this one tear that wanted to drop, "Kita-saaaaaaaaaan!" I wail.
"There he goes." Osamu rolls his eyes.
"Damn...Damn ninjas cutting onions in here I swear..." I say and rub my eyes vigorously, shamefully trying my absolute best to stop the tearful stinging.
My upperclassman chuckles, "Well we should really get going. I think Aran and Omimi left me because I was being too slow."
I nod and sniffle again, "Its—It's raining a bit outside though."
"A little rain shouldn't be no problem." Suna says, "I have an umbrella just in case."
"Suna nice, all four of us can totally fit under your tiny umbrella," I said regaining my casual self.
"At least I actually got one." He replies plainly.
Osamu grabs me by my other shoulder and forces me to lean into him, his face was close to my ear, "You can hide your tears better in the rain Tsumu." He whispers smugly.
I slap him off aggressively in retort, "I'll punch ya."
❇
God.
It was raining glass. Bizarrely sharp rain, alongside with strong winds. The rain was practically a weapon. The sudden shift in the weather's aggression was from out of nowhere and we basically got throttled around.
We were completely fine when we first stepped out of school, it was raining but insignificantly.
Five minutes later its suddenly pouring out buckets with thundering crashes from the sky and over-controlling winds.Suna did say he has an umbrella luckily. However, when me and Osamu asked whether we can go under with him, he replied with a straightforward "no" and laughed with quite a snarky attitude. Funnily enough, the wind became heavier, turning his poor umbrella inside out which eventually led to it breaking. Now he's here, stranded with us under a bus stop with the rest of us, he's soaked the most.
Who's laughing now?
"So." Suna huffs in annoyance, "What do we do?"
"We're close to the convenience store (Y/N)-chan works at," Kita says. My eyes dart at him as soon as he mentions her, he glances back at me calmly. "We should buy better umbrellas and head home quick, we'll catch a fever if we stay out for too long."
