A/N: fun fact, I hate exercise.Once again, any unfamiliar names are just side characters I made up!
"Okay! Everyone run two laps around the gym as warm-up GO GO!" The gym teacher yells, blowing the whistle and clapping her hands to get us moving.
Ahhhh, I'm kinda excited, I thought whilst running.
We are actually going to be doing volleyball in P.E class, this is a first in a while. But it was explained that games aren't going to be tournament like and it was going to be just for fun this lesson.
After our warm-up, we needed to pick our teams of four: one setter, one spiker, one middle blocker and one person to toss the ball. The group needs to swap roles every so often.
Suna, of course, had to be in our group, he's my own team buddy it's called loyalty y'know. We also let (L/N) and another girl called Serizawa from our class join too.
She rolls her sleeves up looking determined, "Okay let's do this! But first... What the heck is a spiker, setter, and middle blocker!" she clasps her hands and rubs them together, getting pumped.
Huh?
"(L/N)-san the gym teacher just explained 5 minutes ago." Suna says plainly.
"I wasn't listening properly because I was doing the warm-up!" she was sweating a little already, her face a bit red from running.
This is slightly worrying.
"(L/N)-san why don't ya try spiking?" I say getting into my position, Suna also stands behind the net getting into his position as well, "They're the ones that hit the ball, like that guy over there."
I point to the direction of another group that have started the activity. (L/N) stares at them for a while to understand what's going on and how the dude is managing to hit the ball successfully.
"Spiking? I doubt I'd be any good though, I apologize in advance," she says modestly, "Oh, what about you Serizawa-san?"
"Hmm, Personally I've never really played volleyball maybe once or twice in my life," She sheepishly smiles at (L/N). "But I'm on the girl's basketball team so I am not too sure if it will help haha."
"Basketball club?!" (L/N) drops the ball, "That's so cool!"
She has the attention span of a goldfish I swear to god.
"Oi, Oi, (L/N)-san, give the ball to Serizawa-san so she can toss it to me." I look at her impatiently, crossing my arms, "When I set it at ya, you have to jump and slam the ball in the air, Suna will try and block it."
"Oh okay, I'll give it a go." She says and hands the volleyball to our other female classmate.
"SUNA-SAN GO EASY ON ME." (L/N) whines nervously getting into position, her hands readying and shaking.
I scoff, "It shouldn't be too hard, my tosses are easy to hit."
Anyone who can't hit my tosses are just plain trash at volleyball.
"I'll do what I can (L/N)-san," Suna says.
"UM! Okay here goes nothing... One... Two...THREE!" Serizawa counts and throws the ball in the air straight after.
Serizawa said that she was in the basketball club, her toss was excellent, not too high, not too low.
Do Basketballers usually have good hand techniques like that? They're throwing control seems to be well polished too, it must be all in the wrist.
