The first visitors who came to the hospital to see baby Thomas were Amy's mum and dad, Amy was exhausted when they came and Rory was down in the shop.
Amy's dad sat down next to amy on the bed whilst her mum had cuddles with Thomas, "how are you feeling Amelia?"
"Exhausted, I'm so so tired"
"Have you had any sleep since?"
She shook her head, " I tried to, but Thomas started crying"
Amy's mum smiled down at Thomas, "he really is beautiful, I'm so proud of you Amy, we both are"
Rory came back with some grapes for Amy and drinks for everyone, he sat the other side of Amy and stroked her forehead gently which eventually sent her to sleep.
Amy's mum handed Thomas over to Amy's dad, "how long did the labour last for, Rory?"
"Umm, about 6 hours, it was hard at some stages, she did really well"
"That's good"
He nodded and yawned, "I'm so tired though"
"You'll have to get used to that, "she smiled at him" we'll get going in a minute, congratulations again"
Amy's dad put a sleeping Thomas back in his cot carefully and they both left the room, Rory kissed Amy on the forehead gently and went to sleep in the chair.
