CAROLINES POV.

''Good morning!''

I greeted Jake who was making coffee in the kitchen.

''Good morning, love.''

He greeted back with a loving smile.

''You got a letter in the mail today.''

He said handing me a blue envelope.

''Ooo, who’s it from? Who’s it from?''

I jumped around, eagerly opening the letter.

My face fell when I started reading he letter.

Miss Caroline Elizabeth Petrova you’ve been chosen to be the soul guardian of five new members of our community. The console requests your presents on Monday in the meeting room. Just to make our request clear this is your assignment so you do not have a say in this. If you fail to do it properly there will be consequences.

''What’s wrong? What does it say?''

Asked concerned Taylor, entering the kitchen.

''Well, my dear friends I’m going to be a guardian, whoop die fucking doo!''

I said with the sarcasm obviously evident in my voice.

Being a guardian means that you basically become a babysitter. You are assigned up to five new vampires who ether lost their memory of just turned. Great! I got the maximum.

''Come on Car, maybe it won’t be that bad…''

Jake tried to comfort me. Didn’t help though.

''Not that bad? I get a full time job protecting and teaching five people who are probably gonna be hormone crazed teenagers.''

I said sighing and plopping down on the couch.

''Umm… help!''

He whisper yelled at Taylor.

''I… Umm… Maybe they’ll be hot…''

He chocked out.

I mentally laughed at his attempt. But I know how uncomfortable that makes him, bless his soul. I smiled at them and said.

''Well no point of complaining over something that I can’t change. Mind as well try to make the best of it.''

Both of them gave me a smile.

''Tomorrow’s Monday so what do you say we go to the gym and take our minds of it?''

 Jake suggested.

''Sounds good to me! I’m going to get Matt. You guys go head we’ll meet you there. ''

***Monday***

I sighed opening the hallway door. Today’s the day I get to meet my five apprentices. I can’t help but wonder how they look like, are they boys or girls or maybe girls and boys, how old they are… Well anyway I find out in a minute.

I took a deep breath and grabbed the knob. I opened the door and there they were the five boys I thought id never see again...
