Training

The next morning, Adele sat in the kitchen looking over the photos she and Nova had taken the day before. Neither were a model, but they did a damn good job for amateurs. Sadly, they left it up to her to pick the picture they should use. She wanted to pick all of them as she thought about asking Axel for help as he cooked them breakfast shirtless. She didn't know what it was about him and his son that made them love cooking half naked, but they would learn once the grease popped their ass.

"Damn, that is a sexy view, and Dee has a front-row seat," Charlotte spoke, walking in, making Axel turn back with an arched brow. He didn't say a word, but she saw the smirk on his face until Obioma walked in with Bridget trailing behind her. Without missing a beat, Obioma walked over to Axel, kissing his shoulder while Bridget frowned.

"It's time for you to give up that. He loves her, and I know you can see that."

"If I try—"

"Stop trying, Hon. It's only going to get you killed," Char whispered as a tear slipped down Bridget's face. They were trying to spare her from any more heart ache, but the woman wasn't listening. Bridget was in love with an infatuation and didn't know how to move on. On the other hand, Axel and Obioma seemed to be working out their differences as they laughed and kissed each other until they were finished cooking after Axel turned to the three of them, and placed plates before them.

It didn't take long for the others to run in, grabbing plates while Axel and Obioma quickly fixed the children's. However, Mackenzie was the last to walk in as she got a plate and sat on the opposite side of Adele, looking over at Bridget with a disgusted expression as if she was any better. "If you don't like her, there are other rooms in the house where you are welcome to eat," Obioma spoke as Kenzie quickly looked at her with a smile.

"I can't seem to understand why you like her. The whore slept with your man."

"You act like she raped him. Axel wasn't innocent in the situation. He wanted it just as much as she did." Adele scoffed as Obioma glared at Kenzie. Hardly anyone in the home liked her, and she knew it.

"Never mind her. I want to know why Luca doesn't like me." Adele stared at the woman for a moment before standing. She knew why Luca didn't like her, and she wasn't about to entertain her question. If she wanted an answer, she needed to ask the man himself. That is, if he didn't kill her first.

"Kenzie, if you want to know why my husband doesn't like you. It would be best if you asked him. He's the only one that can answer your question, Sweetie... well, the only one that can give you a direct answer." The woman glared at her like she wanted to get up and hit her. Adele was waiting for her to fuck up until Luca walked in with a blank face.

"It's time for training Liebe... and you, Charlotte. You're not getting out of it today." Charlotte frowned as Luca smiled. They didn't need training since they had the basic self-defense, but he was determined that they needed to know more than that. As his Donna, she needed to know how to fight a man one-on-one, boxing, and more. Her sisters needed to know the same, and today, they were practicing fighting or boxing. It was all the same to her, and it was something that didn't interest her.

Instead of arguing with Luca, both nodded frankly, while they were scared they had to get in the ring with him. Adele listened to the stories his cousins and Annie told. They were frightening because she learned he didn't play around or go easy on anyone. Their warning to her was to resolve any problems she had with him before getting in the ring because he would let everything out there. She wasn't sure if they told her to scare her or if they were serious, but she guessed she was about to find out as he hugged her, kissing the side of her head and then telling her and Charlotte to hurry down to the gym.
