Axel had been missing for five months, and each time he woke, he found himself naked on a dirty basement floor staring at a woman. Sadly, he had never seen her face clearly, but the most dreadful part was her asking him the same question repeatedly daily. Every day, it was the same, 'Why did you do it?' He couldn't answer a question he didn't have the content to. He needed to know what did he do. Hell, Axel had done a lot during his time as Don, and if she wanted an answer, she needed to be clear about what she wanted.

"You ask me the same damn question daily. Every time, I give you the same answer. Sweety, I need to know what I did to give you an answer. Did I kill you mother, father... no sister or brother, or was it a lover?" He spoke sarcastically as she stood, throwing a bucket of cold water on him. Axel laughed until she picked up a long stick with a taser at the end, shocking him as someone else in the room laughed.

His body shook, but it was going to take a lot more than that to bring him down. He had a reason to live... his family was looking for him. He had to live for his children, grandchildren, and Obioma. He promised himself this time, it was going to work. Hence, she didn't know who she was fucking with, and once he recuperated he would kill her. So, Axel laughed in the whores face as he spat blood near her feet.

"You must've forgotten I got the upper hand. You're the one getting tortured... Tell me, why the fuck did you do it?" Again, with that same damn question. It was like the girl was slow-witted or did not understand he couldn't answer a question without knowing the meaning behind it.

"Bitch I fucking told you. I don't know what the hell you are talking about! What did I do?" Whatever fantasy she was living in was killing him. She needed to use her head. Instead, she stood there, ready to shock him again, until the other person in the room whispered something to her. Hopefully, he was telling her if she wanted to know something, she needed to ask a reasonable question he could understand and answer.

"You're Russian... aren't you?"

"I don't see what that has to do with anything." It gave him something to go on. Axel knew she didn't want revenge and definitely wasn't anyone from the warehouse the day he saved Luca. That much he knew for sure. It also meant they were all wrong about who was after them. It left him to think back to who she could've belonged to. Axel killed many Russians mainly because his family hated them, and he hated the fact Luca began to do business with them. Yet, he couldn't stop his son, and he was doing what was best for him.

"If you must know, I despise Russians."

"Yeah, well, that's too bad because this Russian is the one in control here. Am I not?" Axel chuckled, causing the woman to tilt her head. It was funny to watch her think she had all the control. He was waiting for the right moment to take over.

"Ja, for now."

Again, the woman tilted her head as she sat back in her chair. She was making it a point to hide her facial features, but he could see the smirk she held. Axel was taken back for a moment. He couldn't comprehend what the hell she was smiling for. She was only in control for the moment. He was a resourceful man and would find a way to take advantage. In the meantime, he would let her think otherwise.

What she didn't know was that he had been studying her for the past five months. He knew if she wanted him dead, he wouldn't have been in this place now. She had many opportunities to kill him but never took them, which was a big mistake since he wouldn't hesitate to break her neck when given the chance. Nevertheless, she wanted him for a reason. It could mean he killed someone close to her or harmed them and wanted answers. It was clear she wasn't a killer.

"Ти надто ебано складний (You're too fucking complicated)."

"So, you're Ukrainian? I was close enough." Axel caught her off guard as she whipped her head around. Apparently, she didn't know too much about him, causing him to laugh at the confused look on her face. It was amusing how she thought he wouldn't understand her language.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Cat got your tongue, Bridget? Or was it the fact you didn't know I understood Ukrainian?"

He shocked her again by saying her name. Although he had been there for five months, she never told him her name, but he picked it up by listening to the others talk. Plus, he believe she was the same woman they met back in South Carolina. Now, Axel needed to figure out what she wanted him for or hope she would stop with the games and tell him.

"Since you have the upper hand, tell me something. What do you think my son and daughter-in-law are doing to your poor little husband? That's if he's still alive. Adele has a bad temper. People think Luca is bad, but they haven't met his wife. She's quick to pull the trigger. Or maybe she will cut off his dick and mail it to you so you can have something to play with yourself at night."

Axel could see he was pushing her buttons. Especially when she finally stepped into the light. Her face was boiling with anger and had turned completely red while he laughed. He was getting a rise out of the girl, and she couldn't handle his sense of humor. "Then I should tell you that your family has given up on finding you. They have declared you dead and having your funeral as we speak. So much for your son raising hell until he finds you... it's sad if you ask me."

Axel busted into a fit of laughter. He knew that was his mother's doing and not Luca's. She was big on hiding the truth. Sibylla wanted Germany and the world to think she gave up on him, while, looking for him in silence, but Luca would never let that happen. Axel knew he taught him no one is dead until you have a body. Still, it was an excellent idea that allowed someone to slip up and tell his location.

"I'm moved... I really am, but you can't really expect me to believe my son is burying me... An empty fucking coffin. That's my mother's doing. I'm not that damn stupid."

Besides answering him, she pulled up something on her phone, playing it—Live footage of his funeral. Axel wanted to laugh, but he had to play heartbroken. "GOT DAMNIT! STOP THESE FUCKING GAMES BRIDGET! I HAVE CHILDREN THAT NEED ME! TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT TO KNOW AND LET ME GO! Either that or fucking kill me."

Quickly, she jumped back at his sudden outburst. She was scared of him. The bitch had her minions kidnap him and bring him to her, and she was damn scared then had the nerve to call Adele weak. "Bridget, are you scared of me? You should be because when I get loose... because I will, there will be hell to pay. So, you better kill me now because I will not hesitate to break your fucking neck bitch."

"Sedate him." Axel had forgotten a third person was in the room. He was sitting in the dark corner behind her. It was a smart move on her behalf, but it told him to be on the lookout the next time around. Like he said, he was learning her by studying her actions. He was enjoying their little games and made sure to give her a bright smile before passing out.
