Adele wasn't playing about shutting Annelise down and letting Johan have what he wanted for Anastasia. She wanted to be over her sister's funeral but gave two fucks about her husband. It made Luca wonder about Granny Rose's words as she told him to watch her a little closer. Anne was like a sister to him, but it was proven that meant shit, but he knew she was mad about him and Dele taking over. Still, Ana was his cousin's wife, and he should have been the one choosing how to put her to rest unless he asked otherwise.

That was three weeks ago, and Anneliese was still giving him, Adele, Erik, and Johan a stank look as if they cared about her childish ways. It was time for her to grow up and realize everything didn't go the way she wanted. He was their Don, and his wife was the Donna; whatever they said went, and he cared nothing about her mumbling under her breath each time he saw her, but if she had something to say, he wanted to hear it.

"Anneliese, if you have something to say. Then say it to my face bitch. I don't have the time for your stupid childish ways walking around my damn house with an attitude. Ana was Johan's wife, and unless he asked you to take over the funeral, you had no say in shit."

"FUCK YOU, LUCA! SHE WAS MY DAMN SISTER, AND YOU DON'T GET TO TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD FUCKING DO! YOU DIDN'T LOSE A PART OF YOURSELF! I DID! SO, SCREW YOU, ERIK, AND JOHAN!"

You're mistaken. We all lost Anne, and we are all hurting. You need to understand this isn't only about—" A hand went across Luca's face before he could finish his sentence, and the next thing he knew, he had her by the neck. The only one who got away with smacking him was his wife.

"You damn well know better. The only person in this house who is allowed to put their hands on me in that manner is Adele. I will fucking break your neck if you ever... I mean, ever put your hands on me again. I give two shits about you being pregnant or, if I call you my little sister. Next time, you'll be dead right along with your sister."

"Luca released Anneliese and stopped threatening the poor girl. I'm sure she knows the price of what would happen if she thinks to raise another hand at her Don. Now be on your way, Anne." Still, before leaving, she shoved him as if it affected him in any way. It only made him laugh at the short, brown-headed woman as she huffed and walked away, stopping at the door.

"You're a fucking dick!"

"He knows Anneliese, and I told you to leave. Also, get your shit together and stop being mad at the world. It won't bring her back. What happened was nobody's fault in this family. Please stop being bitchy and forgive your brother and my nephew. Luca and Adele did what was right."

Axel waved her off and shut the door after she left while Luca shook his head. Anneliese knew to listen to his father, and he was used to them fighting, cause they did it a lot growing up.

"It's time to start showing these muthafuckas we mean business, Dad. I don't care who they are. They need to start bowing to us. They're getting to be too bold for my liking. Therefore, all the street gangs, drug lords, and whoever else needs to learn that I rule Germany. I stood on the sidelines, letting them run their petty gangs, but now it's time to pay up, and whoever doesn't side with me dies. It's as simple as that. I know someone knows something, and they better start talking."

"So, we're going to start killing innocents, Luca?" Axel and Luca's attention turned to Adele coming into the room with Lucas on her hip, who was reaching for him. Without a word, he took his son while his wife gave him one of her intense looks. "Liebe, I'm not speaking of innocent people, but they will have a choice. Join us or die... it doesn't get any better than that." Adele continued to stare at him as he kissed his son's forehead and then threw him up into the air. As always, Lucas giggled, begging for him to do it again as Axel cleared his throat.
