Jily - forever 21

The letters - Lily

Lily was in her room rather devastated, because Petunia didn't want to talk to her at all, and apparently Petunia had a boyfriend, she didn't wanna tell anyone about. Lily had always hoped, that these things would bring them closer again. Lily wanted to talk to Severus, but he was visiting his Slytherin friends, so there was no way she would write to him. Alice was visiting Frank, so Lily didn't wanna bother her and Marlene was in France with her parents, so she wouldn't have time to concern about Lily's problems. Lily fell asleep, troubled as she was.

Lily woke to the sound of an owl outside her window. Lily grabbed the letter and gave the owl a treat. She practically tore the letter open.

Dear Miss. Evans

We're pleased to inform you, that you've been chosen as the Gryffindor 5th year prefect. Your badge will be found in the envelope along with the usual list of your needed school supplies. As prefect you can take points from your fellow students, but you can't take points from your fellow prefects. You are asked to join the others in the prefect carriage, where this years head boy and head girl will inform you of your prefect duties. The other 5th year Gryffindor prefect is Mr. Lupin.

Lily was absolutely thrilled. Remus Lupin was her favorite marauder. He was number two in all classes, except transfiguration where he was number three. Lily ran downstairs and shocked her parents, because she was so happy. They congratulated her and they went out for ice cream to celebrate. In the same second Lily was home, she ran upstairs and started writing to her friends.

OMG, OMG, OMG, I'm Gryffindor 5th year prefect. I can't believe I actually got it. I can finally be a little special. I know, I know prefect is kinda not the greatest thing, but the rest of of you are all so special and I'm not, so this is a little something. Anyways Petunia is a nightmare, I will tell you more, when we meet on the train. How has your holiday been? How's Frank?

OMG, OMG, OMG, I'm Gryffindor 5th year prefect. I can't believe I actually got it. I can finally be a little special. I know, I know prefect is kinda not the greatest thing, but the rest of of you are all so special and I'm not, so this is a little something. Anyways Petunia is a nightmare, I will tell you more, when we meet on the train. How's France? I wanna hear all about it. Have you had a summer romance?

Lily wondered whether or not she should write to Sev, but she decided, if he wanted to be friends with deatheaters, he would have to deal with them not liking her.

Dear Sev

I know, you're with your other friends, but I'm so happy. I've been made prefect. Can you believe it? How've you been? I can't wait to see you again, but I'm sitting with Alice and Mary on the train, so we'll have to wait a while, before we can talk. I miss you. You know, I don't like the people you're hanging out with...

Lily sent her letters with owl's and went to bed. She had a great dream, though she didn't remember it, when she woke up.
