Justin's POV

The day after that fight with Zam's neighbor, di pa rin ako nakakakuha ng maayos na tulog. Why doesn't she want me?

If she's worried about my life, she doesn't have to. I would risk my life for her.

While I was on my way to bring her breakfast sa apartment nya, di ako mapakali. Sobra akong nababagabag na baka may mangyari sakin o sa kanya. Kaya nagmadali ako lalo.

Madaling araw pa kaya sobrang luwag pa ng daan so I arrived quickly.

I knocked at her door. But she won't answer. Baka tulog pa o baka galit pa sakin.

"Zam, I'm sorry for what I did last night. I respect your decision kung ayaw mo talaga sakin but please open this door. You should at least eat this breakfast I brought you. Please."

She still won't open the door.

I waited outside hanggang sa dumating ang lalaking nakaaway ko kagabi. May dala rin s'yang box na may laman din atang pagkain.

"She still mad?" mahinahong tanong sakin ng lalaki.

"Oo ata, di pa binubuksan eh," sagot ko.

"By the way, I'm Josh, and I sincerely apologise for what I did last night. That was so wrong of me."

He then offered me his hand for a hand shake.

"I'm Justin," sabi ko habang tinatanggap ang hand shake.

"Kanina ka pa dito?"

"Mmm... Medyo."

"At wala kang naririnig na kahit anong ingay mula sa loob? Like water from the faucet o kaya tunog ng television?"

"W-wala. Bakit?"

"Pahiram ng I.D., bilis!"

Naguguluhan ako sa mga ikinikilos ni Josh. Bakit nya binubuksan nang walang paalam ang pinto ni Zam.

"Josh, ano'ng nangyayari?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"This is so unusual. Ganitong oras sya naggagayak papuntang school pero bakit walang tunog mula sa loob?"

Nataranta na rin ako kaya tumulong na ko. Sinipa ko nang malakas ang pinto ng apartment ni Zam at swerteng nabuksan naman ito.

"Zam? Asan ka?" tanong ko.

"Zam? Zam?"

But there was no answer.

Bahala na kung makasuhan ako ng trespassing pero pinasok ko na ang kwarto nya only to find her lying on the floor.

With a bottle of sleeping pills on her left hand.

I woke up by the sound of conversations between three men. Pagmulat ko, nakita ko sina Ken, kuya Josh, at si Justin. They were discussing of something.

"Oh, Zam, gising ka na pala," ani Ken.

"Teka, tawagin ko lang yung doctor," kuya Josh said.

I looked at Justin. He's still not talking. He's also avoiding eye contact with me.

"What happened, Ken?" I asked Ken.

"They found you lying on the floor. Bakit mo ginawa yun ha?" he asked me.

I don't know how to answer that. Or maybe I just don't wanna answer him. I'm too ashamed to tell him the reason.
